The president of the FIP (International Padel Federation), Luigi Carraro is very impatient to hold these 12th European Championships.

It's a big comeback in Spain, in Andalusia more precisely, which constitutes the first link of this sport on our old continent.

Indeed, this makes 14 years since Spain has not been the host of the European Championships Padel. The last time was in Seville in 2007. This time it will be in Marbella !

To obtain the progress of 12th European Championships despite the current context, the FIP has studied several applications.

The Andalusian Federation of Padel (FAP) presented its project with Marbella as host land, and several sponsors for the guarantee of the stability of the project (Marbella Town Hall, Government of Andalusia)

Therefore, the best players will meet from June 28 to July 4, 2021, and 16 nations will compete for the supreme title in the finals.

This competition will have several events: a pair event (male and female), and a national team event (male and female). It will therefore be an event rich in padel, and in interesting matches, with the presence of the best European nations.

In addition, it will not just be a European Championship, but also a qualifying phase for the World Championships which will take place in Qatar from November 15 to 20, 2020.

It will be an interesting edition to follow to discover the development of the padel in Europe. The Italian men's team, and the French women's team will put their titles back on the line.
