La Pyrite in Soyons offers new track Padel, the first indoor of Drôme / Ardèche.

La Pyrite is a complex comprising a restaurant (2 indoor rooms, large terrace and outdoor Paillote), 4 squash courts and 2 badminton courts.

This private club, whose sports management is provided by Soyons Pyrite Sport, an association affiliated with the FF Squash, will soon create a section Padel.

The school of Padel and the courses will be provided in partnership with the Charmes tennis club on Rhône, a neighboring village under the leadership of Julian STEINMANN.

There are many ambitions, first of all to introduce and develop the practice to as many people as possible, hence the creation of a school of Padel hardly the track installed.

On the sports side, affiliate as quickly as possible to organize tournaments and participate in various club competitions.

Remember that the inauguration took place on Friday July 17 in the presence of a select committee of relatives, friends and members of associations.

Jean-Christophe THOREZ, manager of La Pyrite, expressed his happiness to bring them together after the long period of closure due to confinement.

Raphaël ARMAND, president of the Soyons Pyrite Sport association, retraced the history and explained the rules of padel, a sport in full swing today.

This new short of padel is added to the 4 squash courts and 2 badminton courts at the La Pyrite sports complex.

It is the 3rd in Drôme-Ardèche, after those in Bourg-de-Péage (opened in 2018) and Montélimar (recently inaugurated on July 3).

It is the only indoor court in Drôme-Ardèche.
