Saturday 8 September La Pommeraie celebrated a triple anniversary!

  • 50 years of the club
  • 25 years at the head of the club for Olivier and Anna JEAN supported today by their children Damien and Clara
  • 20 years of presence for Gaspard, animator, monitor, referee well known to all!

It was in a very festive, friendly and therefore family atmosphere that this wonderful evening took place!

As a symbol of the renewal of the club, it is on the field of Padel that the 130 former and current members present gathered for the photo and to listen to Olivier draw up a brief history of the past 50 years and of all the stages leading up to this anniversary evening.

A word about the future as well as the dual purpose of the club:

-Develop the Padel with the establishment of two new sites in the coming months

-Maintain a tennis activity by covering additional ground and allow children and adults to continue learning and perfecting their game.

We are keen to develop this fun game that we love but there is no question of doing it at the expense of tennis which remains our basic sport. We believe that living both sports side by side at the Pommeraie can benefit both activities. The arrival of Damien last year and Clara part time in this season must allow us to succeed our bet.

If you want to come and test the Padel or register for the children's or adult tennis school, the open house will take place on Wednesday 12 and 19 September. You can also make an appointment at the club for a free 20-minute test.
