After a delicate 2019 season, Miguel Lamperti hopes to replay the leading roles in 2020, with his new partner, the Brazilian Lucas Bergamini.

For the first time in six years of participation in World Padel Tour, Miguel Lamperti did not played a single semi-final tournament in 2019. Despite an encouraging start to the season with Lucho Capra, the two Argentines separated in mid-season. Miguel then returned with his former partner Juani Mieres, who was injured in their first tournament, which weighed on the pair.

In the end, a very complicated year for “Miguelito”, during which he played with 3 different partners, and will not have done better than six quarter-finals. Above all, his end of the season, alongside Maxi Grabiel, will have been catastrophic for a player of this level, with 3 eliminations in the first round on 3 tournaments. Its current 23rd place in the WPT ranking is very far from the standards to which it has accustomed us.

The 42-year-old player, who was already very fit at the Mapei Cup, will therefore have at heart redeem itself in 2020. For this, he can count on a revenge partner in the person of Lucas Bergamini. The 23 year old Brazilian, number 27 at the WPT, who split from Lucas Campagnolo in mid-season, also had a halftone end of season, alongside Aday Santana. Hopefully for Miguel that Lucas, a physical and catchy player, will be as successful as in 2018 alongside his compatriot Campagnolo.

A bit like for Cristian Gutierrez, 2020 will be a key year for Miguel Lamperti, a spectacular player and charismatic, which we would like to review at the highest level. We told you recently, the fight for the Final Master will be fierce this season !
