In the men's table of the World Championships of Padel, argentina, Portugal, spain et Italy are still in the running for the semi-finals. However, interest remains limited, the favourites, argentina et spain, displaying a clear superiority over their opponents. On the other hand, the battle for the 3th place promises to be very interesting to follow between Italy et Portugal.
Italy secured the last ticket to the semi-finals. Simone Cremona and Marco Cassetta, after a duel lasting two hours and 15 minutes, won an intense battle against Leygue/Guichard with a score of 6/2 6/7 6/3. In the other match, Aris Patiniotis and Facundo Dominguez beat Bergeron and Fonteny 6 / 1 6 / 4, a success that echoes their performance in the semi-finals of the European Championships in Padel in Cagliari. In the semi-finals, the Azzurri will meet Spain, victorious over Brazil thanks to the successes of Arturo Coello and Ale Galan (6-0 6-1 against Rodrigues/Krames) as well as Paquito Navarro and Mike Yanguas (6/2 6/2 against Julianoti/Da Cunha).
In the other part of the final table, it is argentina et Portugal which will be played for a place in the final. The Argentines won the South American derby against Chile: 6 / 2 6 / 1 for Martin Di Nenno and Fede Chingotto against Walker/Munoz, 6 / 0 6 / 2 for Franco Stupaczuk and Sanyo Gutierrez against Valdes/Molina, and a clear victory for 6 / 0 6 / 0 for Tino Libaak and Alex Chozas against Martinez/Valdivieso. Portugal, for its part, reached the semi-finals (scheduled from 17pm local time, or 15pm CET) by winning 2-0 against the United Arab Emirates, thanks to brothers Miguel and Nuno Deus (6-0 6-0 against Al Janahi) and the pair Pedro Araujo and Antonio Luque, victorious 7-6 6-1 facing Ayats/Jurado.
Chile, United Arab Emirates, Brazil and France will play for places from 5th to 8th position.
