For two years, Arturo Coello et Agustin Tapia are at the top of the world padel. No team has resisted them in their path, not even Lebron / Galan or Stupaczuk / Di Nenno.

At the end of the 2023 season, it was believed that the other pairs would my thing to ward off the attacks of the two “crazy smashers", but it was not. Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia continue to surprise, with a level of padel from another galaxy.

A rivalry, lasting a few months

In 2024, only one pair made the world number 1s doubt: Chingalan. Since Puerto Cabello, these two teams meet – almost – in every tournament. At the beginning, the rivalry was in full swing and each pair traded blow for blow.

But, since Genova P2, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia have raised their level of play and nothing can stop them... not even Federico Chingotto et Alejandro galan !

Today, even if we take great pleasure in following the meetings between these two teams, it is difficult to imagine Coello / Tapia losing. Did they “folded the game" this season?

Records to beat

Despite the mid-season scare and the lack of results, Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia are stronger than ever today. The numbers speak for themselves: 27 titles won in 49 tournaments played. They won 12 this year, the last one in Kuwait P1.

Suffice to say that the number 1s have the record by Fernando Belasteguin and Pablo Lima in the line of fire… even that of Bela / JMD!

There are still two tournaments to play this season, plus the Master Final which will take place in Barcelona, December 19 to 22The record will not be broken this year, but without a doubt they will come back stronger next year to crush everything in their path.
