The  Alpine Paris Major   2025  approach and the entry lists confirm the presence of many French people in the main draw, in qualifications and even on the waiting list. As is often the case, the distribution of  wild cards  could play a decisive role in the final participation of the Blues.

Men's table: no French directly qualified

In the  main draw gentlemen  (42 teams including 3 wild cards),  no French pair  did not enter directly via the world ranking. Hopes therefore go through the  previous  and the invitations with the 3 wild cards that will be awarded in the main draw.

  •  Bastien Blanqué (110) / Johan Bergeron (107)  – 1222 pts: entered in qualifications, but who will perhaps obtain a wild card for the main draw… (in pair 14)

We will have a wildcard for the qualifications.

We take note that  Brand , former French number 1, is currently only very far down the waiting list, associated with Maxime Forcin. The French pair could, however, obtain a wildcard after a very positive start to the season.

Women's table: three French women in the main draw

Among the women, the situation is more favorable.  main board  will count  36 teams , including 2 wild cards.

  •  Alix Collombon (25) / Araceli Martínez (25, ESP)  – 4064 pts: French headliner, the Lyonnaise finds her Spanish partner.
  •  Léa Godallier (59) / Esther Carnicero (57, ESP)  – 1995 pts: the Tahitian maintains her status as a regular player in the major draws.
  •  Carla Touly (75) / Marta Arellano (63, ESP)  – 1441 pts: the Parisian confirms her progress by remaining in the main table.

2 wild cards are to be distributed for the women's main draw.

The role of wild cards

As with every Major, the  wild cards  could allow French players to enter the main draw without going through qualifying.

  •  Male table  : 3 wild cards (main draw) and 1 WC (Previas)
  •  Female table  : 2 wild cards (main draw) and 1 WC (previas)

The choices generally fall on French or Franco-Spanish pairs to support local development. In 2024, several French nationals benefited from these invitations.

If you feel like you want to take the  French  are well represented in the main table, the  Men  will have to rely on previas or hope for a helping hand from wild cards.
