Since August 9, Seclin has had a new major sports facility: a club 4PADEL with eight indoor courts, at the end of Avenue de la République, just off the A1. For padel enthusiasts in the Lille metropolitan area, who often have to book their slots several weeks in advance, this opening comes at just the right time.
Demand much stronger than supply
The Lille metropolitan area is seriously short of land. As recalled The voice of the North, Guillaume Debelmas, co-founder of 4PADEL, does not hesitate to compare:
“It takes three weeks to find an evening slot! (…) In Bordeaux, there are one and a half times more sites for 30% fewer inhabitants.”
The opening of Seclin is only one step: another site is planned to the east of Lille in January, and a third to the north in 2026.
A building designed for padel
Here, there is no renovation of a warehouse or old hangar: the building was built from scratch. "We chose everything from a blank sheet of paper," emphasizes Guillaume Debelmas, always quoted by The voice of the North. Result: 10 meters under ceiling , insulation suitable for hot summers, a club house bright, a seminar room, a bar and a terrace. Two pitches have even been equipped with cameras to immortalize the matches.

A place that wants to live beyond sport
Padel remains at the heart of the project, but the idea is also to create a living space. The club director, Elio Argiolas , insists on this point in the columns of The voice of the North :
"People should be able to come and relax, sit on the terrace. It's a place to live."
On site, it will be possible to work in coworking, have lunch or dinner, or even enjoy the bar without necessarily reserving a lane.
Rates designed to broaden access
The standard price is set at €15 for 1 hours of play per player , with racket rental at €4. However, the club aims to be accessible: reduction of 50% for those under 26 , rates dedicated to local associations in certain time slots, and opening of a padel school for young people as well as adults.
A network that is growing fast
With Seclin, 4PADEL is at its 44th club , including 39 in France and 5 in Germany. The brand has continued to grow since its creation in 2014. Today, it has more than 200 lands , accommodates approximately 180 practitioners and organizes nearly 900 tournaments per year .
4PADEL Seclin – 104 avenue de la République, 59113 Seclin
Open since August 9, 2025 – 8 indoor tracks, clubhouse, bar, coworking and catering.
