In the summer of 2019, we presented the center strasbourg, member of the network 4PADEL (17 clubs in France, 4PADEL is part of the LEFIVE group) which came frominaugurate 3 new indoor courts. Two years later, we decided to return to take the temperature on site so that team 4PADEL tells us about theevolution of the structure - in particular with the passage of the Covid - and future projects.

The largest complex in padel from the Grand Est

brief
The 3 courts installed in 2019

The structure consists of 7 courts of padel, including 2 outdoor - as well as 4 indoor football pitches. Alexis Clement, manager and former manager padel, tells us about the evolution of the center. “When the complex opened, we only had 2 indoor and 2 outdoor pitches and 6 football pitches. With my predecessor (Arnaud Rietsch), we made the decision to focus more on padel : seeing where we are two years later, it's a more than successful bet! He smiles.

Indeed, during our visit at the beginning of December, the 5 latest generation pitches (carpet without visible sand - WPT way) were full. “For the whole evening! " precise Maxime Bernard, new manager padel of the Center. “It's like that every night of the week. The resort really draws audiences to the area. Three of the fields are panoramic and two are approved for tournament outings. The players like it on the courts and games generally continue in our 120 m² sports bar - our center is a real one place of life ! ". We even attended a marriage proposal:

Added to this is a very large height under ceiling (9 meters) and two fields equipped with cameras - allowing players to review their best points as well as their best failures. This variety of players and levels is what makes the wealth of 4PADEL Strasbourg. " Initially the resort had a 100% football culture, but with my arrival in 2018 the padel has started to make its nest, Alexis remembers. And now even the soccer players have taken to the game - we are even starting to see them in tournaments ».

In the staff 4Padel Strasbourg, we find Yanis Muesser (66rd French player), Alexis (590rd), Maxim (800rd), Valentine (6251rd) & Kevin (6538rd). We must add to this 3 coaches who intervene for the courses of the center: Christophe henry (28rd French player), Alex seyller (357rd) & Nicolas delpech (660rd). A shock team therefore, which is organized according to the calendar of events that Maxime fixes.

A busy “events” calendar

The center has organized very large events in the padel since its expansion to 5 indoor courts (2019). The inauguration took place at the beginning of September 2019 during a stage of FFT Padel tour, the P2000.

More recently the center hosted a P1000 for Grand Est regional championships padel in July 2021 but also a multitude of approved tournaments to cope with the very strong increase in demand from regional players, who are increasingly addicted to this young sport. And even disguised tournaments!

The competitors during the P250 Halloween

La competition to 4PADEL, it has been in figures since 2020 (and despite the Covid):

Maxime Berard was recently committed to the development of tournaments by becoming a referee of padel (JAP2) - thus allowing the club to obtain more autonomy in the organization.

4PADEL Strasbourg is developing enormously and offers many events and activities to diversify and become a structure of padel recognized throughout France, in particular thanks to corporate events, “up / down” or “americano” leisure tournaments, the launch of group lessons for children and adults.

Good humor always reigns during leisure tournaments

4Padel Strasbourg is also a commitment at the level of padel female with PAD'ELLES evenings only for players. The aim is to offer a discovery session for new players or beginners - by providing coaches - all in a relaxed atmosphere.

Projects at all levels

During our discussions with the club team, we were able to discover a passionate team who is always looking to innovate to develop this sport and its practice. And on this point there is no shortage of projects at 4Padel Strasbourg.

The development of a dedicated application will allow players to power reserve a court, access the videos of their games And much more. The coaches will also embark on the regular organization of courses for adults and children - and this from the Christmas holidays.

Maxime & Yanis are also ambitious for the club with in their sights a application to welcome a P2000 again In the center. The construction of new grounds is also at the heart of all thoughts - to dream bigger!

Even though he discovered the padel about ten years ago in Italy, Vincent only devoted himself to it after too many “firsts” in tennis tournaments. Not much better at bandeja, he was retrained as referee, the only way to still be present at the time of the final! A lover of sport in general, this Norman expatriate in Alsace will try to make you live the news of the Padel in the “Great East”.
