Domination continues for  Paula Josemaría  et  Bea González . In the final of the  Buenos Aires P1 The world's number 2 players have once again prevailed over  Gemma Triay  et  Delfi Brea  to impose oneself  6 / 3 7 / 5 .

A fifth consecutive victory against the world's number 1, which further confirms the momentum entirely in favor of Josemaría and González.

For Triay and especially Delfi Brea, the disappointment is immense. Argentina dreamed of winning this title on home soil in front of a Parque Roca crowd completely behind them, but once again, the Spanish pair ended up cracking in the crucial moments.

 The first set was quickly dominated by the world number 2 players. 

The final starts perfectly for Josemaría and González.

They break immediately to lead  2/0  and will then not relinquish this advantage throughout the entire first set.

The match is quite disjointed with few long exchanges, but in this configuration, the world number 2s quickly gain the upper hand.

As in the  Brussels P2 ,  Delfi Brea  seems to be gradually declining physically. It must be said that Argentina was coming off an enormous semi-final lasting over three hours, which they won the day before after saving a match point.

In the diagonal, Paula Josemaría clearly dominates the proceedings against a struggling Delfi Brea.

Result: Josemaría and González maintain their break advantage to the end to clinch the first set:  6/3 .

 Triay tries to restart the final 

In the second set,  Gemma Triay  He clearly raises his level of play.

The world number one is taking on more responsibility and supporting a struggling Delfi Brea. She is the one primarily making the difference and allowing her pair to stay in the match.

The set becomes more balanced and both teams generally hold their serves, although Josemaría and González remain very solid on the return.

But at  6/5 Triay and Brea serve to stay in the final… and end up cracking.

And as a symbol of this complicated encounter, it was finally  Delfi Brea  who makes the final mistake of the match to hand the title to the world number 2.

 A completely reversed dynamic 

With this victory, Paula Josemaría and Bea González achieve:

  • un  fifth consecutive title 
  • another  20th consecutive victory 
  • and above all a fifth consecutive victory against Triay / Brea

The trend is now very clear: the world's number 2 players have completely gained the psychological advantage over the ranking leaders.

However, Triay and Brea continue to deliver great performances with a  12rd consecutive final But the record is becoming frustrating: out of these twelve finals, they have now lost… ten times.

Already leading the Race before Buenos Aires, Josemaría and González further consolidated their lead thanks to the  1000 points won  with this title in P1.

And today, they appear more than ever as the most in-form team on the women's circuit.
