The launch of Match Analyzer by SPASH could not have found a better setting than the club Mind Padel in Saint-Priest. Opened in 2018, this club is a pioneer in the French padel scene, particularly in terms of technological innovation. Its founder, Sébastien Cornet, has supported SPASH since the project's inception. We met with him at the launch to discuss this long-standing collaboration, his beliefs, and his vision for enhanced padel.
A modern club, born from a mature project
Located east of Lyon, in Saint-Priest, the club has eight indoor courts, a restaurant, and many technological advances. In 2020, he launched Mind Padel Shop, today a leader in online sales of padel equipment.

The venue's motto: offer more than just a pitch. "A club isn't just about playing. It's an experience. And Match Analyzer clearly enhances this experience," explains Sébastien Cornet.
A founding meeting with SPASH
Sébastien remembers very well the first time he Tristan Vernet and Guillaume Noé told him about SPASH. “It was in 2018 or 2019. They presented me with a simple but powerful idea: film the matches so that players can review them, cut them out, share them. Obviously, I was immediately hooked."

This idea has its origins in an obvious fact that any player can easily understand: in padel, the fun doesn't stop at match point. "Everyone wants to see their par 3, their par 4... and tease your friend on a bowl" underlines Sébastien. And continues: "It's a huge part of padel culture. And this system also allows us to review the disputed points, the bullet which we do not know if it hit the window or not.
But above all, Sébastien sees beyond the pitch. "What I found very powerful is that this system allows the club to exist outside the club. The player plays for an hour and a half, goes home, scores a point, and sends it to his friends." Sébastien continues with the promotional dimension of the process: "And on the video, we see that he's with us. Our banners, our partners, our logos. That's how the Spirit Padel keep circulating!”
Technology that is increasingly fluid and intuitive
Since its inception, SPASH has evolved its solution. Sébastien Cornet explains: "The double ice, and now artificial intelligence... all of this has simplified the experience. Today, it's child's play. You touch the garland on the field, and it's launched."

And according to Sébastien, the features are as entertaining as they are informative: "There's a stat that tells you who runs the most on the field. Perfect for gently making fun of the friend who's always last in the standings. It creates a social dynamic around padel. We tease each other, we want revenge. The system keeps the club alive between matches."
Staying faithful despite obstacles
When asked why he remained committed to the project despite the technical difficulties encountered by SPASH in the early years, Sébastien is categorical. "What I like are people who do. And there, it's a real entrepreneurial project. Tristan is very square, he has a medium-term vision, he believes in it.
The club has even structured a development partnership with SPASH. Sébastien tells us about this partnership: “We are test center, so in the front row. When we give them feedback – we live with the customers, we know what works and what doesn't – they think, they react, and they improve. It's a real exchange."
An ambition for his players… and his image
Of course, installing a system like Match Analyzer represents a significant investment. For Sébastien, it's not an issue: "Our role is also to show our customers that we are at the forefront. We offer them the best there is, because we think about the long term, about the life of the club. From my point of view, today, the best system is SPASH. »
Create demand before the official launch
Today, Match Analyzer is not yet officially enabled for all Esprit players. Padel. But the ground is ready according to Sabastien: "We have already done test sessionsThe players had a blast: they played with the glass, they tried things to be filmed. We created curiosity, a wait.
What's next? Sébastien gives us the details: "A free trial month for everyone. And then we will offer some courses with Match Analyzer at a slightly higher price. But it will be a premium offer, which 99% of clubs don't have."
An economic balance to be built
The question of economic model remains open, but Sébastien Cornet already has his own little idea on the subject: “We are thinking of one euro per player in addition. And we also know that with this system, people stay longerThey drink a beer, have a charcuterie board. And most importantly, they come back. Because this system, they want it. And they know they find it here."
For the tool to last, one condition is essential: adoption by players (SIC). Sébastien concludes with impatience and passion on this question: "The heart of the matter is: do the players take ownership of it? ? If so, the value is there. If not, it doesn't hold. So we listen, we adjust. Maybe a screen is poorly placed, a diagram isn't clear. It has to be fluid.
A shared project, an exemplary club that once again shows the way, that is also the Spirit Padel...
