French padel experienced an intense weekend with several  P1000  organized all over France. And the observation is clear: the favorites suffered greatly, with several seeded players eliminated even before the finals.

Between surprises, comebacks, huge performances and electric atmospheres, this weekend has confirmed one thing: the level continues to get tougher on the French circuit.

Tom Taieb and Timéo Fonteny create a sensation at Enjoy Padel

This is probably the biggest surprise of the weekend.

À  Lancon-Provence , the 4nd seed  Tom Taieb / Timéo Fonteny  won the  P1000 Enjoy Padel  after successively eliminating the number 1 seed and then the number 2 seed.

In the semi-final, they had already overturned  Suzanna / Toppin  after a completely crazy match. Then in the final, they dominated  Rémy Gourre / Tristan Piombo  :  7 / 6 6 / 1 .

The tournament  Tom Taieb , only the 166th Frenchman, will have made a lasting impression. Alongside a huge  Timeo Fonteny , number 3 in France and clearly above the rest, he recorded two benchmark performances in a row to get his very first P1000.

Marie and Roux win the P1000 B14 with a mental edge

Au  P1000 B14 Here too, the favorites fell.

After eliminating the number 1 seed,  Dornberger / Gortzounian , in the semi-final,  Jules Marie / Robin Roux (TS3)  won the tournament after a nail-biting finish against  Yannouk Henrion / Samy Iznasni (TS7)  :  6/7 6/4 6/1 .

A very close final for two sets before Marie and Roux completely took over physically in the last set.

In their first tournament together, they won a title outright after a mentally strong run with two huge consecutive comebacks.

Authier and Baud are tearing each other apart at FT Échirolles

Le  P1000 FT Échirolles  will also have put on a tremendous show.

The number 1 seed, Potel/Petitdidier, fell in the semi-finals against  Lelarge / Perrin , authors of a very big tournament. But after a suspenseful wait, it was finally  François Authier / Basile Baud (TS3)  who won the title:  4/6 6/3 7/6  after more than  2h20 game .

In a huge atmosphere with packed stands all weekend, the Lyon players finished physically stronger in a breathless third set.

At only 18 years,  Basil Baud  there he achieved the first P1000 of his career alongside the experienced François Authier.

Bayard and Ayuso, the only favorites to live up to expectations

In this weekend full of surprises, one pair perfectly lived up to its status:  Damien Bayard / Quentin Ayuso .

The seeded 1 of the  P1000 Vamos Padel Magalas  won the tournament without losing a single set.

In the final, they dominated  The Belly / Trancart  :  6 / 4 6 / 3  with a very great Damien Bayard, ultra dominant offensively throughout the tournament.

Bognard and Boitier Legourd upset the TS1 in the women's category

Among the ladies, the  P1000 Paul & Louis Sport  He too delivered a stunning final.

The seeded 2  Lisa Bognard / Nastasia Boitier-Legourd  went on to claim the title after defeating the number 1 seed  Lucie Vichier / Amanda Pestre Grange  :  4/6 6/2 6/3 .

Having been down a set, they gradually gained the upper hand physically before completely overwhelming their opponents in the last two sets.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
