La  French Tennis Federation  officially unveiled the  wild cards for the Alpine Paris Major 2026 who will be competing in the  September 6-13 at Roland-Garros Stadium Gilles Moretton, president of the FFT, and Arnaud Di Pasquale, tournament director, announced the invitations granted for the main draws as well as for the qualifications.

At men's,  Dylan Guichard, Timéo Fonteny and Yoan Boronad  receive an invitation to directly enter the main draw. In the women's draw,  Louise Bahurel and Carla Touly  The two French players will be invited directly into the main draw.

Three male wild cards for the main draw

The FFT had  three invitations to men's homes  and chose to award them to:

  •  Dylan Guichard / Clement Geens 
  •  Timéo Fonteny / Nacho Moragues Molto 
  •  Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert 

This choice notably confirms the federation's desire to give significant importance to the  new French generation .

Dylan Guichard will be partnered with the Belgian  Clement Geens , with whom he regularly plays on the international circuit. The Franco-Belgian pair thus avoids the qualifying rounds and goes directly into the main draw of the Paris Major.

Same scenario for  Timeo Fonteny who will play alongside the Spaniard  Nacho Moragues Molto The young Frenchman continues to establish himself on the international circuit and will benefit from a golden opportunity to continue it at Roland-Garros.

Finally, the third invitation goes to an entirely French pair:  Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert Here again, the FFT is clearly betting on two players belonging to the rising generation of French padel.

The men's main draw will bring together  48 teams  : 41 admitted directly, four from the qualifications and three beneficiaries of a wild-card.

Bahurel and Touly invited to the ladies' house

In the women's category, two invitations were available. They go to:

  •  Louise Bahurel / Ivet Val Lopez 
  •  Carla Touly / Xenia Clasca Vidiella 

Two Franco-Spanish associations that will therefore allow  Louise Bahurel  et  Carla Toully  to start directly in the main table.

The women's draw will consist of  40 teams , with 34 pairs admitted directly, four qualified and the two pairs invited by the organization.

Mansart / Dardaine in qualifying

Only one wild card was available for the women's qualifiers. It was awarded to the French pair:

 Clara Mansart / Marie-Amélie Dardaine 

The two Frenchwomen will enter a qualifying bracket composed of  16 teams , with only  four tickets for the main draw .

This  wild-card awarded to the 100% French pair  This will certainly generate a lot of discussion, given how far down the waiting list the French pair were. The FFT has made a  bold choice In terms of level, involvement and even potential, both gunboats managed to convince.

Guy de Chamisso / Vives: a wild card to try and qualify for the main draw

For the men, the invitation to the qualifiers goes to:

 Olivier Guy de Chamisso / Manuel Vives 

An all-French pair who will therefore have to go through the qualifiers to hope to reach the main draw.

Here again, the competition will be significant since  16 pairs will compete for four places  to integrate into the main table.

This invitation offers, in particular, excellent exposure to  Olivier Guy de Chamisso One of the rising young French players, while Manuel Vives already has more experience on the international circuit. And most importantly: the two reigning French padel champions will be at the Paris Major (with Dylan Guichard directly entered into the main draw).

A selection heavily geared towards the new generation

The final list of wild cards confirms a trend already noticeable in federal choices:  Youth occupies a central place in the FFT's sports policy .

Guichard, Fonteny, Boronad, Robert, Guy de Chamisso and Mansart all embody, at different levels, this new generation destined to gradually take up more space on the international scene.

The presence of foreign partners did not, moreover, hinder the allocation of wild cards in the main draw. Guichard will play with Geens, Fonteny with Moragues, Bahurel with Val Lopez, and Touly with Clasca Vidiella. The FFT therefore prioritized the  sporting project and the potential of the French players involved , rather than the sole criterion of a 100% French association.

See you at Roland-Garros starting September 6th

The  Alpine Paris Major 2026  will begin as soon as  Sunday, September 6th with the qualifying rounds , before the main draw begins on Monday, September 7. The competition will continue until the finals on Sunday, September 13.

The opening Sunday will also be marked by the  Padel Festival , organized at Roland-Garros alongside the first qualifying matches. The official schedule then includes the first rounds on Monday and Tuesday, the round of 16 on Thursday, the quarterfinals on Friday, the semifinals on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.

For the French players invited, the Paris tournament is obviously one of the biggest showcases of the season. And for several members of the new generation of French players, Roland-Garros could above all represent another opportunity to directly test themselves against the  very high international level .
