Only at  19 years ,  Andrea Ustero  continues to establish herself among the leading figures in world padel. Freshly crowned champion at  Paris Major  alongside Ari Sánchez The young Catalan left-hander confided in Sports world about his season, his partnership with Ari and his next big goal: his  first World Cup with the Spanish national team .

And when asked which player gives him the most difficulty on the track, his answer is immediate:  Paula Josemaría .

"I never know where she's going to put the ball."

Ustero explains that Paula Josemaría's game creates a lot of uncertainty for him.

"I find it very difficult to play against left-handed players, and yet I am left-handed myself."

She is therefore perfectly familiar with the effects, trajectories, and possibilities offered by this type of profile. But with Josemaría, that is not enough.

"She's a player where you never know where the ball is going to go."

Ustero cites in particular the  bajadas , changes of direction, lobs and aerial accelerations.

According to her, the real problem is not just the quality of Josemaría's shots, but above all her  unpredictability .

An uncertainty that prevents him from playing naturally

Andrea Ustero explains it quite clearly: this constant doubt ends up disrupting his own game.

"I don't like this uncertainty. Not knowing what they're going to play against me creates a lot of doubt and prevents me from playing the way I normally do."

An interesting statement when you know Ustero's style, which is based precisely on spontaneity, initiative and aggressiveness.

In Josemaría's presence, she seems to lose some of that freedom.

Paula, a natural role model for Ustero

The choice of Paula Josemaría is ultimately not so surprising.

Both players are left-handed, and Paula has been an absolute benchmark in that position for several seasons.

For Ustero, who also possesses enormous power and creativity, Josemaría can therefore be seen as  a model, but also one of the most complicated opponents to read .

Ustero in an exceptional period

This statement comes at a particularly significant time for Andrea Ustero.

Alongside Ari Sánchez She has just won the  Paris Major confirming the success of this new partnership.

Ari also plays an important role in his balance on the court, helping him to channel his very instinctive game and bring out the best of his qualities.

And the season will take on another dimension since Ustero will soon be playing his  first World Cup with the Spanish national team .

At 19, she continues to progress at a rapid pace. But even amidst this impressive advancement, one player still gives her a particular headache:  Paula Josemaría .

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
