The padel world gathered in Madrid to close out the 2025 season. On the occasion of the eleventh edition of the PadelSpain World Padel Awards, organized in the Magic Box on the sidelines of the Generali Hexagon CupThe leading figures of the year 2025 were honored.
And when it came time to reveal the two most anticipated names, there was no real suspense: Arturo Coello and Delfi Brea have been named best players of the 2025 season..
A 2025 season dominated from start to finish
For Arturo CoelloThe year resembled a continuous demonstration. The Valladolid player racked up titles, imposed his power across the globe, and finished the season at the top of the world rankingsAlready a leading figure in modern padel, Coello reached a new milestone in 2025, definitively establishing himself as the “king” of the men’s circuit.
The same observation applies to the women's side. Delfi BreaArgentina delivered an impressively consistent season, blending aggression, tactical mastery, and leadership in key moments. The result: trophies, finals appearances, and a place among the most dominant players of the year.
The public vote only confirmed this trend.
Near 340 000 votes were registered on the official PWPA website, and Coello and Brea prevailed against prestigious competition: Agustín Tapia, Fede Chingotto, Gemma Triay and Paula Josemaría.
The year's breakout stars honored
The ceremony also recognized the new faces who made their mark on the season.
For men, the trophy of the revelation of the year came back to Fran Guerrero. Next to Javi lealThe young Spaniard has made a meteoric rise, stringing together stunning performances and establishing himself as one of the most credible prospects in Spanish padel.
In the female painting, it is Martina Fassio who was recognized. The young player had a season of strong growth, gaining maturity and impact throughout the year.
Jorge Martínez, a man in the shadows… but essential
The price of best coach of the year was assigned to Jorge Martínez, an essential figure on the circuit benches.
Coach, in particular, of Ale Galán, Fede Chingotto and Delfi BreaHe has consistently guided his players to the biggest tournaments. This recognition is well-deserved for one of the most respected coaches in professional padel.
Tournament and equipment: other distinctions
Other awards given out that evening included:
- Best tournament of the year : the FIP World Cup Pairs from Kuwait, particularly praised for its organization.
Regarding equipment, the players also voted:
