With his coronation at the Italy Major 2026 Arturo Coello has further cemented his place in padel history. At just  24 years The Spaniard became the  first player to win 10 Major titles Premier Padel , the most prestigious category on the circuit.

A figure that alone sums up the dominance of the world number 1 for several seasons.

The first player to reach 10 Majors

Since the creation of Premier PadelNo player had ever reached that total. Thanks to his victory in Rome alongside Agustín Tapia Coello crosses this symbolic threshold and establishes himself alone at the top of this hierarchy.

Even more impressive: he won  all the Majors of the circuit .

  • Mexico Major
  • Italy Major
  • Paris Major
  • Qatar Major

And he didn't just win them once. Arturo Coello won them all.  at least twice , proof of his exceptional consistency at the biggest events.

Only one Major without Tapia

Of his ten major label hits,  nine were won with Agustín Tapia .

The very first one dates back to  Mexico Major 2022 where Coello was still playing with the legend  Fernando Belasteguín This historic title remains to this day the only Major in his collection won without the Argentinian.

This also explains the current gap between the two partners:

  •  Arturo Coello: 10 Majors
  •  Agustín Tapia: 9 Majors

A minor difference that serves as a reminder that the Spanish phenomenon had begun to write its history even before the birth of the most dominant duo of the era Premier Padel.

A bit of a rough patch… but always there when it counts

However, in recent months, Coello and Tapia had shown some signs of fragility.

Beaten several times by  Ale Galán and Fede Chingotto The world number ones sometimes seemed to lack solutions. The lost finals piled up and doubts began to surface.

But as is often the case with the very greatest champions, the answer came at the biggest event.

In Rome, after suffering four consecutive defeats against Galán and Chingotto, Tapia and Coello rediscovered their best form to secure another Major.

Further proof that when the stakes are highest, they remain capable of raising their level of play.

Can it surpass 20 Majors?

The question seems crazy today, but it already deserves to be asked.

At just 24 years old, Coello already has 10 Majors. If he maintains his current pace for several years, the bar will be set.  20 tracks  There is nothing unrealistic about it.

The parallel with tennis is tempting.

As  Roger Federer ,  Rafael Nadal  ou  Novak Djokovic  In the Grand Slams, Arturo Coello is building a record that could become untouchable in the history of modern padel.

Of course, the circuit is still young and records are yet to be broken. But one thing is already certain: no player has accumulated so much success in the biggest tournaments so quickly.

At 24 years old, Arturo Coello already has 10 Major titles. And given his current level, it's hard to imagine that the story will end there.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
