Here we go again! After a three-week break, the Premier Padel P2 of Asuncion is there to restart the machine. And of course, everyone has their eyes fixed on the world number 1, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello, who are returning to a field they know well... and where they have already shone!
If you remember correctly, last year at this time, Tapia and Coello had delighted the fans by winning the final of the P2 of Asunción. A real suspenseful match against Galan and Chingotto, concluded in three sets with a decisive tie-break which had turned in favor of the number 1s (6/1 3/6 7/6 (1)). Coello had made the difference, taking responsibility in key moments while Tapia, rather discreet that day, did the job in support.
A year later, the two friends return with the same desire to make an impression. And for good reason, Assumption seems to be a bit of their garden: after their victory in 2024, they also triumphed in 2023, at the time of the World Padel Tour, beating the super kids. Suffice to say that this return to Paraguay has something to give them confidence.
This time again they arrive with the status ofand favorites. Already winners this year at Riyadh, Doha and Brussels, they intend to follow up with a fourth title. But beware, the competition is going to be tough: Galan / Chingotto et Lebrón / Stupaczuk They also want to show that they have what it takes to overthrow the kings of the circuit.
For Tapia and Coello, the objective is clear: to continue to crush the competition and confirm that they are the bosses of the circuit. But with Stupa's return from injury and the many new pairs in the running, the task will not be easy.
