During a quieter moment during the FIP Silver Côte du Midi , we met Bertrand Zimkowiak , President of Distripur , a company recently established in Silk Sets Padel Narbonne He explains his innovative air cooling technology to us in detail.
Can you explain to us what these machines installed in this magnificent club in Set are used for? Padel Club?
We have installed equipment that allows us to refresh the air at a man's height , so only the area occupied by the players. It is a patented technology developed by a French start-up created three years ago .
We are deploying this solution for air conditioning very large volumes , whether sporting or industrial, while significantly reducing electricity consumption Here, for example, the ceiling height is ten meters, but only the first two meters are cooled: this represents an enormous energy saving.
For the uninitiated, how is it possible to only air condition at eye level?
So, I'll try to be simple. The cold air behaves like water , so we can contain it. In each device, there is a diffuser part and total collector part . We create a horizontal flow at very slow speed , which diffuses cooled air into the space, and which is recovered on the other side.
We have to imagine that we fill the space with a fluid: it is in reality the cold air that remains at the bottom, about two meters high. This is also why the columns of the machines measure about 2 m – 2,20 m. Above this limit, the temperature increases very rapidly , which helps avoid energy waste.

The building here is very large. Is there a limit to the installation of your system?
No, it is fully modular We have projects in spaces of 4000 m² i.e twice as big as this one . We simply install several modules to meet the needs. This system is suitable for all large spaces that are difficult to air condition, and are often too expensive to equip with conventional systems.
To give you an idea, here we only installed 60 kW , where conventional air conditioning would have required about 200 kW .

Have you already installed this technology in other padel clubs?
Yes, absolutely. We are highly sought after by the world of padel . These are generally large structures , with a lot of height and surfaces. But above all, our system has a added value: it dries the air very well .
Look at the windows here: no trace of humidity . All the steam produced by the players and spectators is absorbed by our system This avoids having to wipe the windows, which is essential for the readability of the padel game .
We also operate in rooms of badminton , squash or even in projects of Futsal , sometimes with even more impressive volumes. We are also making progress in this area industrial , where many halls seek to refresh only the operator work area .
And on the user side, is the feedback good?
Yes, very good. There was one day this week when the humidity outside was very high, with rain and crowds, so the conditions were extreme. But overall, the windows remained spotless .
Before our intervention, it was really very hot here. thermal comfort brought by our technology is a real plus. And it also changes the game quality .

What are your goals for the coming months and years?
We have two priorities. The first is to let us know We already have exchanges with spain , Switzerland et Germany , who are very interested in our technology.
The second is to consolidate our production capacity , with a maximum of French or European partners We feel a real dynamic, reinforced by the awareness linked to climate change et to energy sobriety .
How can clubs or businesses contact you?
Today it works a lot by word of mouth Padel players travel, and when they discover a well-renovated club, they tell other managers about it.
Otherwise, you can find us via our website: www.distripur.fr . It is simple but functional. We are also present on LinkedIn , Instagram , and other social networks.
We are easy to contact , and we intervene everywhere in France We are also developing our business abroad, particularly in Spain Where we have just signed a partnership with a local company to deploy our technology.
