A few days before the kick-off of the  Bordeaux P2 The organizers unveiled the  wild cards  awarded for the qualifying rounds and the main draw. Invitations that give pride of place to French players, with several highly anticipated pairings, starting with the return of  Timeo Fonteny  et  Yoan Boronad  in a large circuit board  Premier Padel.

Bordeaux  Thomas Vanbauce , iconic player of  Big padel will receive a wild card alongside the Spaniard  Lucas Miranda ,  416th in the world A great opportunity for the local player to aim for his first qualification for the main draw in front of his home crowd.

Another invitation from France, that of  Lucas Pillon , one of Big's rising stars PadelAccustomed to playing alongside the best French players despite his young age, he will be associated with  Philemon Raichman  ( 259th in the world For the latter, this tournament represents an opportunity to revive momentum after several partnerships that have not borne fruit, particularly with  Yanis Muesser  and  Thomas Vanbauce .

 The grand return of Fonteny and Boronad 

This is undoubtedly the announcement that has attracted the most attention:  Timeo Fonteny  et  Yoan Boronad  will make their return together in the  main board  du  Bordeaux P2 , after obtaining the Wild Card for the  Paris Major  last year.

The two friends have grown a lot since their first tournaments played side-by-side on the main circuit. In recent months, each has continued their development with other partners:  Timeo Fonteny  next to  Johan Bergeron ,  Yoan Boronad  with  Bastien Blanqué Bordeaux will therefore mark their reunion on the track.

Facing the best pairs in the world, the two young Frenchmen will have a fantastic opportunity to gauge their progress. This is the kind of competition they aspire to regularly participate in in the coming years. Now it's up to them to seize this chance and make a lasting impression.

Another logical wild card is the one granted to  Dylan Guichard  and to the Belgian  Clement Geens .

The two players, who have joined the  Top 100 worldwide  This season, they have achieved one of the most consistent performances on the FIP circuit. Their record speaks for itself, with already  two titles  in 2026:  FIP Bronze d'Houten  in the Netherlands, and then more recently the  FIP Silver of Palermo  in Italy.

For Dylan Guichard, this invitation has a special significance. He had already been invited to Bordeaux in  2024  next to  Bastien Blanqué , the Frenchman returns this time with a completely different status and the ambition to prove that he has taken a real step forward against the world elite.

In the women's draw, only one French player received a wild card for the main draw:  Léa Godallier .

The French number 2 will be partnered with Argentina  Daiara Valenzuela , with whom she has just won the  FIP Silver of Narbonne An association that is already functioning very well and will try to continue its momentum in Bordeaux.

This invitation also rewards Léa Godallier's excellent season on the circuit.  Premier Padel Alongside the Italian woman  Giorgia Marchetti The Frenchwoman had notably reached  three round of 16  this year, confirming her ability to compete with the best players on the circuit.

In Bordeaux, she will have another opportunity to demonstrate that she has the level to establish herself permanently among the  50 , even the  40 best female players in the world .

Ultimately, these wild cards offer a clever mix of local players, young talents and pairs already performing well on the international circuit.

The return of  Fonteny / Boronad  undoubtedly constitutes the main attraction of this selection. The two young French players will have the opportunity to compete against a world-class pair and demonstrate how far they have come in recent months.
