Alix Collombon ended the “french day” in Bordeaux Premier Padel P2, after a complicated day for the French involved. A 0/5 before the start of the Alix meeting, which was therefore the last chance to see a French woman in the second round.

We found Argentina as always Julieta Bidahorria at her side, a player with whom she is still finding her feet on the track. The Lyonnaise and her teammate were opposed to the 8 seed of the tournament: Bea Caldera / Lorena Rufo.

Collombon and Bidahorria made a great start in this first round, taking advantage of the numerous mistakes made by Lorena Rufo, Alix's former partner, to take a clear advantage on the scoreboard. The Franco-Argentinian pair led 4/0 in a very short time.

Except that the Caldera / Rufo tornado woke up and swept away everything in its path. While the set seemed within reach of Alix and Julieta, their opponents operated a remontada impressive and won the first set 6/4.

In the second set, Julieta and Alix once again managed to take a break very quickly, but the game was totally disjointed on the track. Four breaks followed one another on the track to end with a score of parity : 2/2 !

The Franco-Argentinian pair found themselves having to make up for a break while their opponents were serving for the match. But buoyed by the fervor of the Bordeaux public, Alix and Julieta were able to catch up and take the service of the Spanish to return to 5/4, service to follow.

Unfortunately, the will of Alix and the French public were not enough to tip the scales in the right direction. Bea Caldera and Lorena Rufo won 6 / 4 6 / 4.

It was his brother who one day told him to accompany him on a track. padel, since then, Gwenaëlle has never left the court. Except when it comes to going to watch the broadcast of Padel Magazine, World Padel Tour… or Premier Padel…or the French Championships. In short, she is a fan of this sport.
