The all-French clash of the first round of qualifying  Buenos Aires P1  turned to the advantage of  Yoan Boronad and Bastien Blanqué .

Opposed to their former partners  Johan Bergeron and Timéo Fonteny The two Frenchmen prevailed.  6 / 1 6 / 4  in only  class  to reach the second round of qualifying.

 A one-sided first set

In this inevitably emotionally charged encounter, Boronad and Blanqué quickly took control of the exchanges.

Very solid on serve, they completely dominated in the first set, which they won.  6/1 .

A bit of a reaction in the second set

The second set is a little more balanced.

Bergeron and Fonteny raise their level and even manage to break serve in an attempt to completely revive the match.

But Boronad and Blanqué's reaction was immediate.

The two players broke back immediately before definitively regaining control of the match.

The difference in service and return

Overall, Boronad and Blanqué were the most solid in all important areas of the game.

The statistic that best sums up the match:

  •  50% of the points earned on the return  for Boronad / Blanqué
  • against only  30%  for Bergeron / Fonteny.

 A very competitive second round

This victory therefore allows Boronad and Blanqué to continue their adventure in Buenos Aires.

But the challenge will be even greater in the next round as they will face the 4th seed from qualifying:
Agustín Gutiérrez / Salva Oria .

A huge match is in prospect as they try to secure a place in the final round of qualifying.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
