During the P2000 in Casa Padel, Yoan Boronad and Timéo Fonteny look back on their final against the tournament's number 13 seed, Lozano / Perez Le Tiec, but also on new international projects, and the fact of wanting to diversify their experience in tournaments with other partners while remaining together in France.

The 13th seed did the job…

Yoan Boronad : We can congratulate our opponents who played a very good match and who were better than us in the final. playing conditions were a bit complicated, and we didn't manage to impose our style, to play our padel.

Timeo Fonteny : Yes, they really bothered us in those conditions, so Bravo to them. We had a pretty tough week of training physically. Getting to the end of four matches It was tough, and physically it was hard for me. But once again, they played a great game.

Yoan : They are two players who are playing very well and who are having good results at the moment. playing conditions probably suited them very well, they know each other perfectly and have played match after match. They have played their tournament, we must congratulate.

Boronad and Fonteny: international projects without separating for French tournaments

I work on myself

Yoan : I'm working on my behavior, my frustration that can play tricks on me on the track. I'm managing to channel myself much better than before already. In the semi-final, I think it was correct, but in the final, it was more complicated. I know that I can sometimes have lapses in this area, but I'm trying to improve.

We don't separate

Timeo : We don't do not separate, but we will play with other players for certain competitions, especially internationally. We want to gain experience, so if opportunities arise, we will seize them.

Yoan : Yes, it is part of learning. If we have opportunities, we have to seize them. It would be a mistake to force ourselves to play all the tournaments together. For example, Timeo had the opportunity to play with Maxime Joris à Mauritius, which is a great experience. Maxime plays very well, and it also allows you to accumulate more points.

Internationally, we vary, in France, we stay together

Timeo : For now, internationally, I am still waiting for other offers from good players. Maxime came to me for Mauritius and I really liked it. We will see for the next tournaments.

Yoan : I'm not going to Mauritius, but I'm doing the FIP Vic Promotion near Barcelona, and I will normally participate at FIP Rise in Lithuania with Isaac huysveld, a Belgian player with whom I train. I am very happy to play with him.

Yoan : For the P2000 and the big French tournaments, we will play together a priori.
