The women's semi-finals of the Buenos Aires P1 will have offered an exceptional spectacle. After the battle won by Josemaría and González, the second semi-final between Gemma Triay / Delfi Brea et Claudia Fernández / Sofia Araújo It too turned into a monumental battle.
After more than three hours of a breathless battle, the world number 1 players finally prevailed: 3/6 7/6 6/4 , after even saving a match point in the second set.
Fernández and Araújo start strong
The start of the match is clearly in favor of Claudia Fernández et Sofia Araújo who enter the track without any inhibitions.
In the slow conditions of Buenos Aires, Claudia Fernández delivers a true tactical recital while the Portuguese player does a lot of damage with her winning shots.
After several opportunities, they finally found the break in the eighth game and logically took the first set: 6/3 .
On the Triay and Brea side, the signs are already starting to turn red.

The turning point: a match point saved
The second set continued in the same vein.
Fernández and Araújo continued to press forward and came very close to a huge upset. Gaby Reca's players even had a match point to reach their first final together.
But against the world's number ones, letting an opportunity slip away can be very costly.
Driven by a Parque Roca completely won over to Delfi Brea's cause , Seba Nerone's players hung on and managed to survive to take the set to a tie-break.
And once the momentum shifted, Triay and Brea were no longer faltering. They completely dominated the tiebreak: 7 points to 1 .
A huge blow for Fernández and Araújo, who were one point away from the final.
A stifling third round
The third set starts with the momentum entirely in favor of the world number 1s.
Triay and Brea quickly broke serve to take control, also benefiting from the mental blow suffered by their opponents after missing that match point.
But Fernández and Araújo refused to give up and leveled the score in a match that remained extremely tense until the end.
Finally, at 5/4 The world number ones still make the difference at the best moment to go for the victory: 6/4 .
The Argentinian public then erupted completely for Delfi Brea , a huge local heroine this week in Buenos Aires.

A twelfth consecutive final… and a new classic
With this victory, Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea take off their twelfth consecutive final .
And as has often been the case this season, they will meet again in the final Paula Josemaria and Bea Gonzalez for a new episode in the great rivalry that currently dominates women's padel worldwide.
A poster that is gradually becoming a true classic of the circuit.
For Delfi Brea, this final will inevitably have a special flavor: Argentina will have the opportunity to play for the title at home, supported by a public totally behind them since the beginning of the tournament.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
