Born on March 10, 1993, Camilia Benabdeljalil only discovered padel at the age of 29. A former tennis and beach tennis player, she quickly made up for lost time thanks to remarkable progress. Her meticulousness, which she also cultivates in her role as Purchasing Manager at APM Terminals, is evident on the courts, where she displays a discipline and determination that allow her to compete with the best Moroccan players.

For his first appearance on the international circuit of the International Federation of PadelCamilia Benabdeljalil was associated with the Frenchwoman  Laura Buteau , a regular at FIP ​​tournaments.

On paper, the Portuguese-American players are the favorites. Both are ranked around 100th in the world and have solid experience on the international circuit.

But Benabdeljalil and Buteau have nothing to lose. Buoyed by their impressive start, they will try to cause an upset in a match where they will naturally be considered underdogs.
