The pair,  Federico Chingotto  et  Alejandro Galán  continues its rise in power on the circuit  Premier Padel This Sunday, the two men won the  P2 of Asuncion , in Paraguay, by winning the final against  Leandro Augsburger  et  paul cardona  on the score of  7 / 6 6 / 1 .

Already very convincing throughout the week, Chingotto and Galán perfectly mastered this final against an explosive pair, the “Bombarderos” (who eliminated the number 3 seed (Lebrón / Stupaczuk in the semi-final). But against a more experienced and more consistent team,  the power was not enough .

A carefully planned strategy against opposing power

From the start, the world number 2 pair knew how to impose their rhythm.  Chingotto and Galán deliberately opted for a low game , using lobs wisely to force their opponents to take risks. A risky tactic against two players capable of hitting hard, but one that proved very profitable. Especially when Galán, in great form with his smash, was able to convert the high balls into winners.

The consultant  Emilio Forsher  also summed up the difficulty of facing Augsburger and Cardona:

"It's not easy to play against Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger. You have to make pinpoint lobs or only play down low."

Despite several breaks on both sides in the first set, Chingotto and Galán made the difference in the tie-break, taking advantage of a few errors from their opponents at key moments.

A one-sided second act

The victory of the first set seemed to completely free Chingotto and Galán.  More precise, more consistent , they took the opening serve in the second set and never let their opponents breathe again. Visibly mentally affected,  Augsburger and Cardona have lost intensity , leaving total control of the match to the Spanish-Argentine pair.

"Chingotto and Galán brought out the best in themselves in this final. After a close first set, they took over completely to win the second set 6-1 and secure this title for the second-placed team in Paraguay." added Emilio Forsher.

On the way to Buenos Aires

No time to rest for the day's winners, who will immediately fly to the  Argentine capital  to dispute the  Premier Padel of Buenos Aires , one of the flagship tournaments of the season for all South American players. In this dynamic,  Chingotto and Galán will arrive with full confidence and the clear ambition to go and get another trophy .

Meanwhile, the coach  Juan Martin Mieres  will have to remotivate his young protégés, who came very close to winning a set in the final but  left the track empty-handed A painful but educational learning experience.
