Finalist in the first P2000 of the season at 4Padel from Bordeauxthen round of 16 at the FIP Silver tournament in Caen, Clara Mansart 2026 attacks by the horns. More consistent, more patient, but just as powerful, the young physiotherapist seems to have reached a new level. An interview with a player in full development.

A fantastic run in Bordeaux and great promise in Caen

It's hard to imagine a better start to the year. In just a few weeks, Clara Mansart has proven to be among the most in-form players of the French circuit. Her final at the P2000 in Bordeauxacquired by starting fifteenth pair of the tournament alongside his faithful partner Marie Rondot, returning to the circuit, marked a turning point. A few days later, his presence in round of 16 at the FIP Silver tournament in Caen This confirms that this performance was not an isolated incident.

On the Normandy tracks, Clara and Marie had to work hard right from the first round, at the end of a battle of more than two and a half hours facing a very solid Spanish pair, by heroically securing the victory.

"I don't even know how we managed to pull through. At 5-6, 0-40 on my serve... it's really all about mental strength."

Trailing and under pressure, the French women hung on.

"I kept telling Marie: step by step, we can do it. And we'll come back."

A scenario that reveals what characterizes this start to the season: a player capable of staying lucid in key momentswhere, previously, emotion sometimes took over.

An approach to padel in full evolution

If the power Clara Mansart's career has never been a secret; her current trajectory lies elsewhere. For several months now, the 18th French player works on the patience, choice of moments and understanding the game.

"I tend to get a little worked up too quickly, to hit when I shouldn't necessarily hit."

Au Bordeaux P2000She quickly senses that something is changing.

"I played one of the best padel matches I've produced in a long time. I was very aggressive on the volley and the smash, but with more control."

This progress does not come solely from the field.

"I watched a lot of matches and worked on tactics."

An analytical approach that allows her to stand out more against players with a very structured padel style, especially the Spanish players.

"They defend very well, they play a very padel-like game. When I try to hit the net and block them, they don't like it at all."

But Clara knows: for this weapon to become fully effective, it must be used at the right time.

"I'm not always using my weapon well yet. I need to learn to manage that better."

Clara Mansart at the service

Physiotherapist and top-level athlete: a fragile balance

This progress becomes even more valuable when we observe the player's daily life. Clara Mansart is not a full-time professional. She now practices her profession as physiotherapist, in which she fully thrives, but which severely limits her training volume.

"I find it difficult to play more than twice a week."

A constraint that she compensates for in other ways.

"I learn a lot in competition. When you play five matches in a tournament, I feel like my level improves with each round."

Le physical remains at the heart of its priorities.

"I know that if I want to play in a series of tournaments without getting injured, I need to be physically ready."

Even if it sometimes means lacking recovery time.

"I hadn't recovered enough from the previous weekend. Now, I'm going to take advantage of the physiotherapists a bit... for once."

Clara is proceeding cautiously, without rushing things.

"I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself, to see how I'm progressing."

Marie Rondot, a natural but developing association

To kick off its season, Clara Mansart chose to find Marie RondotA partner with whom she shares much more than just a sporting project. The two players know each other perfectly, having started playing padel together, and this relationship is evident on the court. Communication is fluid, trust is established, and the pleasure of playing together is very real.

"We really enjoy ourselves on the track."

The pair works thanks in particular to a real complementary profilesBut Clara remains clear-headed: this association still needs to progress to establish itself permanently at the highest French level.

"We both need to develop our games in the areas where we're a little weaker."

The objective is clear: to better balance the pair, particularly in the net management for both defensive phasesThis is to prevent certain teams from exploiting their differences too easily. However, no undue pressure is being put on the project's duration.

"We didn't set out to play together all season. We're mainly trying to communicate well."

A healthy approach, which leaves the door open to other experiences while maintaining a solid foundation.

Mansart and Rondot high-five

The French national team is the ultimate goal, without rushing things.

With such a start to the season, the question of a selection for the French team it naturally ends up on the table. Clara Mansart is aware of this, especially given her attacking profile, very powerful on the left, is still not very widespread on the French women's circuit.

"With my very aggressive profile and my arm, it's interesting."

The player knows, however, that this potential still needs to be better managed to become a real weapon at the highest level.

"I need to learn to manage this power better, to use it at the right time."

Above all, such an ambition would require a additional investment, which is difficult to reconcile with his professional activity today.

"If I really want to think about it, I'd have to train three or four times a week."

The dream is there, acknowledged, but approached with lucidity. For Clara MansartThe primary objective remains to continue to progress, confirm at the major eventsand to let the performances speak for themselves before any projection.

At the start of the year, Clara Mansart She doesn't just rack up results. She's building a padel more thoughtful, more completewhile retaining what makes it unique: power and impact.
Finalist in the first P2000 of the yearAlready well-established on the international scene, the physiotherapist is moving forward methodically.
Without excessive talk, without premature projections, but with a now clear trajectory: that of a player who is establishing herself permanently among the references of French padel.
