On world number 1 Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia have validated their ticket for the semi-finals of the Germany P2 beating Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal (7/5 7/6). A close victory, against two combative Spaniards, but which marked a historic turning point.

Record of victories

With this qualification, Coello and Tapia now count 253 official victories (WPT + Premier Padel), one more than the mythical pair Lebron / Galan (252). In just two and a half years of association, the “Golden Boys” have already overtaken a duo that dominated the circuit for four seasons.

The best percentage in history

Another impressive statistic: their winning percentage reached 93%, better than the historical reference Bela / Juan Martín Díaz (92%). In raw numbers, Coello and Tapia crushed the circuit like no pair before them.

A dynasty in progress

Still young, Arturo and Agustin are establishing themselves further in the padel legend. Not only have they already surpassed several historical benchmarks, but they could well set lasting records if their momentum continues.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
