A frustrating finale for  Alix Collombon , associated with the Spanish  Jana Montes  visit us at the  FIP Bronze Seville The top seeds in the tournament, the Franco-Spanish pair, lost in the final against...  TS2 Rodriguez Abajo / Lopez Moral  on the score of  3/6 6/3 6/3 .

 A solid run to the final 

Collombon and Montes had, however, had a very good tournament.

  • Quarter-final close against the  TS5 Perez / Gallardo  ( 6/4 6/7 6/4 )
  • A controlled semi-final against the  TS6 De La Rosa / Ferreyra  ( 6 / 1 6 / 1 )

A logical rise in power that brought them to the final with ambitions.

 A final that started well… then turned on its head. 

The start of the match is in their favor.  Collombon and Montes take the first set 6/3  and seem to be in control.

But then the dynamics change. Opposite them, the Spanish pair increase their intensity and gradually reverse the balance of power.

Final score:  3/6 6/3 6/3 

A frustrating defeat, especially since the Franco-Spanish pair had started their final so well.

 Objectives partially met 

The objective was clear:  regain confidence and rack up points Mission half accomplished:

  • another  final 
  •  22 FIP points 
  • du  rhythm regained 

Even though the title was within reach, the overall result remains positive.

 Heading for Brussels 

No time to overthink.  Alix Collombon will be involved with Bruxelles P2 starting this Monday. , still with Jana Montes.

They will be  seed 1 in qualifying , an unusual situation for the French number 1, a consequence of a lack of points at the start of this season.

A new opportunity to bounce back immediately.
