The week continues to get lively on the  FIP Tour . the  Netherlands , the  FIP Bronze Houten qualifications  delivered their verdict with  only one French pair qualified  for the final draw. At the same time, the first matches of the main draw began at  FIP Gold Almaty  in Kazakhstan, where the French team made a perfect start to their tournament.

There were still three French pairs in contention in the final round of qualifications in the Netherlands, but only one managed to overcome the final obstacle.

Nathan Courrin and Thomas Seux secured their places in the main draw after a particularly close match against  Vandelanotte / Du Pree After losing the first set, the French managed to turn the match around and win.  5/7 6/0 7/6 , after a nail-biting tie-break won  13-11  in the deciding round.

Before this final round, the French pair had already made a good start to their day by dominating the Dutch pair Sporken / Van Vendeloo  6 / 2 6 / 4  during the third qualifying round.

For the other two French associations, the final hurdle proved too high. Lucas Pillon and Olivier Guy de Chamisso, despite their solid performance in their previous Q3 victory against Casals/Bos,  7 / 5 6 / 4 were stopped by the sixteenth pair Nicocia / Graupera  6 / 4 6 / 1 .

The same fate befell Arthaud Dumoulin and Tristan Piombo. Having qualified for the final round after their Emirati opponents withdrew in the previous round, they ultimately suffered a heavy defeat against the Dutch wildcard pair Nolten/Cecchi.  6 / 0 6 / 0 .

Finally,  Courrin and Seux will therefore be the only French representatives from the qualifiers in the main draw of the Dutch tournament.

A convincing start for the French at the Almaty FIP Gold

While the qualifiers were ending in the Netherlands, the main draw of the FIP Gold Almaty was starting in Kazakhstan with two French pairs involved.

At men's,  Julien Seurin and Thomas Vanbauce  They negotiated their entry into the tournament perfectly. Facing the Kazakh lucky losers Kozbak/Sidorov, the French pair won decisively.  6 / 3 6 / 2 , thus securing their place in the round of 16.

In the women's table,  Steffi Merah and Julie Razafindranaly  They also got off to a good start. The French pair dominated the local team, Abkeyeva/Orymbekova.  6 / 0 6 / 0 , a clear victory which allows them to approach the rest of the tournament with confidence.

With a qualification in the Netherlands and two opening victories in Kazakhstan, the French are currently enjoying a solid start to the week on the international circuit, ahead of the remaining matches scheduled in the various FIP Tour tournaments, including the debut of the French armada in Houten.
