The final of  P1500 Ladies Alpine Store Rouen  It was a hard-fought, tense, and sometimes very choppy contest, but in the end, the suspense was palpable.  Jennifer Denécheau  et  Marie maligo , the tournament's second seed, who went on to win the title against the first seed  Clara Mansart / Marie Lefevre .

Victory in two close sets:  7 / 5 7 / 6 .

In a match marked by a huge number of unforced errors on both sides, Denécheau and Maligo were particularly able to make the difference in the important moments.

Mansart and Lefevre are off to a strong start

The start of the match was clearly in favor of the number 1 seed.

Mansart and Lefevre break quickly and take control of the first set to lead  4/1 .

But from that point on, the game turned.

Denécheau and Maligo immediately close the gap with a break before regaining the lead at  5/4 They even serve as part of the set, but are immediately broken.

In a first set that was completely disjointed with a huge number of exchanges of breaks and rebreaks, TS2 finally made the difference at the best moment.

À  5/5 Denécheau and Maligo break back once again before closing out their service game to clinch the set:  7/5 .

And in the important moments, it is above all Jennifer Denécheau who makes the difference.

A tense second set that went to a tie-break

The scenario remains very similar in the second round.

Denécheau and Maligo quickly take a slight advantage with a break to lead  3/2 but as in the first set, neither team really manages to take control of the match.

The breaks come one after another, the unforced errors too, and the set logically heads towards a tie-break.

A decisive game that mirrored the match: tense, uneven, but extremely hard-fought.

And once again, in the crucial moments, the number 2 seed delivers.

Jennifer Denécheau finally concluded the match with a winning smash to give the title to her pair.

 The difference in important moments

The match statistics perfectly illustrate this very evenly matched final:

  •  36 unforced errors on each side
  •  29 winning points  for Denécheau / Maligo
  • salary.  28  for Mansart / Lefevre

The difference was mainly made on break points:

  •  5 breaks converted out of 12 opportunities  for the TS2
  • salary.  On 4 10  for the TS1

A small detail that ultimately turned the tide of this final.

A very solid tournament for Denécheau and Maligo

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
