Bad news for Edu Alonso : the world number 16 will not be present in Düsseldorf for the Germany P2. Affected since Madrid, the Valencian announced his withdrawal last minute on his social networks.

"I've been carrying discomfort since the Madrid tournament and I've finally decided not to play in Seville or Germany. These are difficult times, because nobody likes to stay at home without playing, but it was the best decision to recover. From Rotterdam onwards, I'll be 100% ready to give it my all."

An early separation from Bautista

This withdrawal deprives Alonso of a last appearance alongside Jairo Bautista, since both players had planned to end their association after Düsseldorf. The Andalusian player therefore had to react quickly to avoid missing the German meeting.

Santiago Pineda, the next generation

According to the official entry list, Bautista will finally be partnered with one of the circuit's promising young talents. Santiago Pineda (2006), 170th in the world. Together, they will form the number 16 seed in Dusseldorf.

Rotterdam target for Alonso

Edu Alonso, for his part, is now concentrating on his return to Rotterdam P1, where he plans to start anew with Juan Tello.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
