In the first meeting of the afternoon, Sacha Huard of the Marre et Nathan Perrot were the first to enter the track, facing the young Spanish hopefuls: Iago Fuertes and Amselmo Guerrero. The Bleuets gave their all in this match but it was not enough. The Fuertes / Guerrero pair brought home the first point for Spain: 6 / 2 6 / 2.

France's last hopes rested on Jeremy Robert et Olivier Guy de Chamisso. The Bleuets played a convincing first set against Juan Zamora and Manuel Castano but still ended up conceding, 6/4. In the second set, Zamora and Castano surfed on their good form and the confidence gained after winning the first set to roll. Final score: 6 / 4 6 / 1.

The third match, even if it did not change the outcome of this final, still played a role. Timeo Fonteny et Tom Basso faced Francisco Cabeza and Alejandro Calvo for this final encounter. The two U18s achieved a real feat by inflicting the first defeat on the Spanish in this Euro and thus bringing a point to France in this final: 7/5 2/6 7/6.
