A mixed final day for the French team at the FIP Junior Euro Padel Cup in Porto. The boys completed the group stage with a perfect record against Belgium (3-0), while the girls, beaten by Italy (3-0), are out of the title race. 

The French U20 team meet a tougher challenge.

After their victory against Estonia and then their frustrating defeat against Sweden, the French women had to beat Italy to stay in the race for the final four.

The first meeting left some regrets:  Elise Le Roux and Lylwenn Laforge  had started perfectly by winning the first set 6-0, before giving up  0/6 6/3 7/6  face  Conti / Scarcella .

Behind,  Zia Debroy / Augustine Charpentier  bowed  6 / 3 6 / 3  salary.  Speziali / Caruso then  Lison Chrétien-Méal / Victoria Isaac  Are lost  6 / 1 6 / 1  face  Minelli / Giraldi .

In the boys' competition, France played for first place in Group B against Belgium. The French team held their nerve and won.  3 - 0 .

 Sacha Debroy / Gabriel Bessière  kicked off the day with a victory  6 / 3 6 / 2  face  Van Brempt / De Peuter .  Sacha Huard de La Marre / Nathan Perrot  then dominated  Keppens / Fountain   6 / 2 6 / 1 . At last,  Olivier Guy de Chamisso / Jérémy Robert  concluded against  Lalmand / Degeling   6 / 3 6 / 2 .

With  three wins in three matches The French finished first in Group B with a record of  eight wins and only one individual defeat They will face each other in the next round  Portugal , second in group A, for a place in the final.

With this victory, the French U20 team finishes  first in Group B  with a remarkable career.

In three matches, they will have beaten  Italy (2-1), the Netherlands (3-0) and Belgium (3-0) Overall, the French show a record of  eight wins and only one individual defeat , conceded on the first day against the Italians.

This gives them plenty of reason to approach the rest of the competition with strong ambitions.

Although the Bleuettes unfortunately leave the competition with regrets, the Bleuets continue their journey and confirm that they are among the main candidates for the European title.
