The French selection for the  European Padel Championship  (October 21-25 in La Línea de la Concepción, Spain) is expected to be unveiled very soon. But one question remains: the coach  Pablo Ayma  shouldn't he wait for the  French Championships  next week before announcing its final list?

Simpler choices for the ladies

At the  men , on the other hand, that's another story. While some names seem obvious,  Bastien Blanqué  et  Timeo Fonteny  to the left,  Johan Bergeron  et  Dylan Guichard  On the right, the rest of the list looks like a real puzzle.

Left: Many suitors

  •  Thomas Vanbauce  is coming back strong after his injury, recently winning the P1000 title and showing great ambition to win these French championships.
  •  Manuel Vives  is gradually finding his rhythm again after his return from injury, with results that are still irregular but encouraging.
  •  Philemon Raichman  remains a safe bet despite a more complicated transition internationally.
  •  Adrien Maigret , a pillar of the French team, he clearly wants to join the selection.
  •  Maxime Forcin , in great form with Benjamin Tison, undefeated on the French circuit, is a very serious candidate.

On the right: a big competition

  •  Benjamin Tison , still a reference, seems in a good position, he is considered by many to still be the best French right-wing player.
  •  Maxime Joris  has already experienced selection, but its recent results have been more mixed.
  •  Julien Seurin  still waiting for his first call-up, he is playing in FIP tournaments, despite his current irregular results.
  •  Yoan Boronad , a young nugget, French U18 champion with Fonteny, is knocking on the door after a great progression on the international circuit.

France as a justice of the peace?

With so many contenders and a high density,  The French Championships could be decisive Seeing the players compete directly would give Pablo Ayma a valuable insight into each player's dynamic.

  • A coronation of  Vanbauce  or a big course of  Vives  would relaunch their candidacy.
  • A confirmation for  Boronad / Fonteny  would weigh heavily.
  • Same thing for outsiders like  Seurin  ou  Raichman. 

A question of timing

The list is due to be released this week, but  wait a few days  Wouldn't it be more logical to join the French reveal team? Has Pablo Ayma already made the selection?  Pablo Ayma already knows his players well  : he was able to observe their recent dynamics and during the last training camp of the French team. But wouldn't it still be worth waiting for the  French Championships , a true justice of the peace, to be certain of his choices?
