It was undoubtedly  the match of the year A match that had absolutely everything: an exceptional level of play, a fierce rivalry, constant tension, controversial incidents, a completely crazy scenario… and, at the end of the suspense,  Juan Lebrón  et  Leo Augsburg  imposed themselves against  Alejandro Galán  et  Fede Chingotto  at the third set tie-break ( 2/6 6/3 7/6 ) to secure their place in the final of the  Premier Padel Malaga P1 .

Thirty-five days after their last encounter, marked by Galán's refusal to shake hands with his former partner, the reunion was highly anticipated. It did not disappoint.

 Galán and Chingotto give the introductory lesson 

The start of the match quickly turned in favor of the world's number 2 team.

 Alejandro Galán  is omnipresent, takes up a lot of ground and dictates exchanges, while  Fede Chingotto  He plays with metronomic precision. Opposite him, Lebrón and Augsburger seem tense. The exchanges between the two partners are limited, and their attitude is reminiscent of the many matches this season where their partnership gradually fizzled out.

The first set was decisive:  6/2 .

The start of the second act confirms this impression. Galán and Chingotto break quickly and take the lead.  3/1 Everything then seemed to be heading towards another controlled victory.

 The turning point brought by Agustín Gómez Silingo 

That's when everything changed.

At the change of ends, their coach  Agustín Gómez Silingo  find the right words.

The message is simple: the entire tactical aspect belongs to him, they only have one mission, to regain energy, desire and an impeccable attitude.

The connection was immediate.

We find a  Juan Lebrón  completely transformed. The Andalusian multiplies the  winning smashes , the  vipers  devastating and gradually dominates  Chingotto  diagonally. He also strings together several incredible drop shots.

By his side,  Leo Augsburg  He too is gaining power and is starting to let his power shine in the smash.

The two men win  five consecutive games  and snatch the second set  6/3 .

 A breathless third set 

The final round is exceptional.

All four players are performing at an impressive level. Every service game becomes a battle, with no one able to truly gain the upper hand.

Even though Lebrón and Augsburger seem slightly superior in the game, Galán and Chingotto demonstrate once again why they are one of the strongest pairs on the circuit.

Everything is therefore decided in a tie-break.

 A completely crazy tie-break 

Lebrón and Augsburger get off to a perfect start.

They lead quickly  5/0 suggesting that the match is over.

But Galán and Chingotto refuse to abdicate.

À  5/2 A huge turning point in the game occurs. On a smash by Augsburger,  Galán announces that he touched the ball  to put it back into play. However, the images suggest that he also touches the net.  Juan Lebrón  protests immediately, but the referee validates the point.

A highly controversial decision that completely changes the dynamics. Then, on the next point, Augsburger receives a poorly justified warning, which will further escalate tensions.

Galán and Chingotto gradually come back and even take the lead  7-6 .

In many games this season, Lebrón and Augsburger would probably have sunk.

This time, they remain calm.

They don't lose focus, they continue to believe, and they ultimately win.  the last three points  to conclude this tie-break  9-7 .

 A rivalry that remains as fierce as ever. 

As throughout the match, tensions between  Lebrón  et  Gallant  remain tangible until the very end.

The handshake is icy, punctuated by ironic smiles between the two former partners.

Then comes the explosion.

 Juan Lebrón  she let out all her joy as she ran around the court, while  Leo Augsburg Overwhelmed by emotion, he bursts into tears.

 A foundational victory? 

Beyond qualification, this victory could mark a real turning point for the duo.

For one of the first times this season, Lebrón and Augsburger managed to pull themselves out of their infamous "black hole" when the match seemed to be slipping away from them. They maintained a positive attitude, stayed united, and found the mental strength to upset one of the best pairs in the world.

They thus win their  second victory against Galán and Chingotto this season , bringing the face-off to  4-2  in favor of the world's number 2 team, while putting an end to a series of defeats that had lasted since the  Brussels P2 .

One final challenge remains:  Arturo Coello  et  Agustín Tapia Facing the world number ones, Lebrón and Augsburger will try to extend their exceptional week and create another sensation in the final of the  Malaga P1 .
