Timéo Fonteny and Nacho Moragues  It didn't take them long to make their new partnership work. In their very first tournament together, the Frenchman and the Spaniard won the  FIP Bronze Marnes  dominating  Marcel Font / Alejandro Garcia Calahorro (TS6)  finally,  6/2 4/6 6/1 in 1h12 .

A second FIP title this season for the French number 3, who confirms his very good momentum before the Paris Major.

Aggression makes the difference

The numbers perfectly summarize the nature of this final. Both pairs finished with  30 unforced errors each , but Fonteny / Moragues made a significant difference in their ability to produce winning points:  57 winners versus 34 .

From the first set, the number 2 seed takes control.  Fonteny does a lot of damage with his smash Meanwhile, Moragues perfectly complemented the Frenchman and proved very solid. The result: a first set quickly won.  6/2 .

The only real dip in form came in the second half. Moragues, in particular, experienced a more difficult period and  Font / Garcia Calahorro  They take advantage of this to get back into the game by taking the set  6/4 .

But the reaction is immediate.

Fonteny takes the lead in the third

In the decisive set, Fonteny / Moragues regained their aggression.  Timéo Fonteny is taking up even more space and carrying the pair in this final stretch of the match. while Moragues raises his level again.

The sixth seed can no longer keep up the pace. Fonteny/Moragues cruise to victory.  6/1  and to clinch the title in their very first partnership.

An almost perfect run

This title concludes a particularly solid week for the number 2 seed, who had to pass several real tests before lifting the trophy.

After a first victory  7 / 5 7 / 6 Fonteny/Moragues had ruled out  Antonio Luque / Diogo Jesus (TS7)  in quarters,  7 / 6 7 / 6 In the semi-final, they raised their level even further to dominate  Johan Bergeron / Julien Seurin (TS4) ,  7 / 5 6 / 2 .

And despite losing their first set of the tournament in the final, they reacted perfectly to finish the job.

Fonteny's second FIP title of the season

For  Timeo Fonteny This success confirms a season that continues to gain momentum. The Frenchman had already won a FIP title in  Slovenia alongside the Swede Albin Andersson He therefore adds a second international trophy to his season, this time with Nacho Moragues.

A great confirmation for the  French number 3 who continues to show his full potential on the international circuit.

And the rest comes immediately.  Fonteny and Moragues will once again be associated with Paris Major where they received a  wild card for the main draw .

After winning a title in their first tournament together, they will therefore arrive at  Roland-Garros full of confidence .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
