Make way for  Main table of the FIP Gold Bucharest  This Thursday, several French athletes will be competing in Romania. After going through the qualifying rounds,  Thomas Vanbauce  managed to reach the main draw, but the draw immediately dealt him a huge challenge.

On their side,  Julien Seurin / Johan Bergeron  inherit a rather favorable starting position, while  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq  will have a match that seems much more balanced. In the women's game,  Manon Marcarie / Cassandra Senjean  can also harbor genuine ambitions.

Vanbauce was rewarded with a place in the qualifiers… then sent to face the 2nd seed

Associated to  Lucas Miranda Santos ,  Thomas Vanbauce  negotiated the qualifying rounds perfectly with two convincing victories:  6 / 2 6 / 2 then  6/1 4/6 6/3 .

A well-deserved qualification, but the Frenchman was not rewarded in the draw.

For his first round of the main draw, he will face  Pablo Lijó / Francisco Gil , the tournament's second seed. A huge challenge against a pair coming directly from the  Paris Major , where she lost in the first round against  Tino Libaak / Gonza Alfonso .

Vanbauce / Miranda Santos will therefore clearly have the status of outsiders, but they arrive with two matches already under their belts and confidence accumulated in qualifying.

The meeting is scheduled  not before 19pm on Court 3 .

Bergeron / Seurin with a great opportunity

For  Johan Bergeron / Julien Seurin the picture appears much more open.

The French will face the lucky losers  Bohdan Levchuk / Michal Bartusek On paper, Bergeron and Seurin can clearly aim for qualification for the next round if they impose their level of play.

The match is scheduled  not before 1:30 pm on Court 13 .

A good draw to try and start their week in the best possible way.

Muesser / Hugounenq in a balanced duel

Other French pair involved:  Yanis Muesser / Arthur Hugounenq .

They will be opposed to  Filippo Nicocia / Matteo Platania A much more balanced match, with a real possibility for the French to secure their place in the next round.

The meeting is scheduled  not before 16pm on Court 1 .

Marcarie/Senjean can look further ahead

In the ladies,  Manon Marcarie / Cassandra Senjean  will enter the competition against  Carla Rodriguez Sanchez / Martina Minetti .

A favorable draw on paper and a great opportunity for the French pair to reach the next round. Their match will also open the day's events.  Court 3 from 10:30 a.m. .

And the picture could become interesting in the event of a victory. A potential duel against the  seeded 7, Lorena Alonso De Lera / Bruna Albuquerque Melo , could then present itself.

The TS7 will start against  Carmen Ibañez Diaz / Giulia Pisano .

For Marcarie / Senjean, the objective will therefore be first to confirm their status in the first round before, why not, trying a move against a higher ranked pair.
