A small surprise on the list of  FIP Platinum Lyon  :  Juan Tello and Martin Di Nenno  will exceptionally reunite for the occasion. The two Argentinians, who had already shared the track for part of the 2025 season, will be provisionally  2 seeded , just behind  Fran Guerrero / Javi Leal .

A partnership we know well and which had worked rather well. Together, Tello and Di Nenno had notably achieved  two semi-finals on Premier Padel in  Assumption  then  Bordeaux  , as well as several quarter-finals before going their separate ways.

A pair that had already shown some great things

The Tello/Di Nenno duo quickly found a true synergy. With Tello's power and Di Nenno's excellent reading of the road, the two Argentinians were able to consistently position themselves in the final laps.

Although they failed to win a title together, they had nevertheless shown that they could compete with the best pairs on the circuit.

For Lyon, the association will be temporary, but the objective will be clear:  go get the title  and take advantage of a tournament that awards big points.

An important race to the Masters Final for Tello

For  Juan Tello This FIP Platinum Lyon will also have a particular significance.

The Argentinian is currently  17th in the Race , just behind  Javi leal and seeks to integrate the  First 16 players  to secure a place at the end-of-season Masters Final.

The Lyon tournament could therefore be truly important in this battle. And as luck would have it, Tello and Di Nenno are currently just behind.  Guerrero / Leal  in the tournament hierarchy.

Beyond the title, Lyon could therefore also allow Tello to recover valuable points in his race for the top 16.

Di Nenno confident with Paquito, Tello consistent with Arce

Both players arrive with an interesting dynamic.

Martín Di Nenno , now associated with  Paquito Navarro , is having a good run and has already reached several semi-finals with the Spaniard.

For its part,  Juan Tello  evolves with  Maxi Maple . A fairly regular partnership, with several quarter-final appearances, even if the pair still struggles to get past that stage.

Tello, on the other hand, already knows the taste of a FIP Platinum title this season, having won the  FIP Platinum Paredes In Lyon, he will therefore have the opportunity to go and find a  second Platinum title .

A promising return to Lyon

Their association will be short, but it is bound to attract attention.

Tello and Di Nenno have already proven they can work well together, and they arrive in Lyon with real ambitions. Between the quest for the title, the points up for grabs, and Tello's race for a spot in the Masters Final, the stakes will be far from insignificant.

And for the Lyon public, it will be above all an opportunity to see again a pair that we enjoyed following in 2025.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
