Registration is still open, but the  FIP Platinum Lyon  The tournament already boasts a particularly strong field. With two days left before registration closes, several players who are regulars on the tournament circuit have already signed up.  Premier Padel  are already on the list, including  Fran Guerrero / Javi Leal, Martín Di Nenno / Juan Tello or even Momo González / Lucas Campagnolo .

The tournament will take place from  21 27 in September , with qualifying rounds on the 21st and 22nd, followed by the main draw starting on the 23rd. Registration closes on  Friday, September 11 at 17 p.m. .

Guerrero/Leal provisionally at the top of the list

For the time being,  Fran Guerrero / Javi Leal  occupy the top spot on the list of pairs with  13,569 cumulative points The two Spaniards, ranked 12th and 15th in the world respectively, are already one of the major attractions announced for Lyon.

Behind it all, we find an association that inevitably attracts attention:  Martín Di Nenno / Juan Tello .

The two Argentinians will  reform their pair for the duration of the Lyon tournament This is a partnership we're already familiar with, as they shared the track for part of the 2025 season. During that time, the two players demonstrated a truly impressive level of play together, notably...  several semi-finals on Premier Padel .

A one-off comeback that could clearly allow them to aim for the title.

Momo / Campagnolo, Bergamini / Garrido… heavy behind

The density does not stop at the first two pairs.  Momo González / Lucas Campagnolo  are also registered and provisionally occupy the third position.

Just behind, we find  Javi Garrido / Lucas Bergamini , fourth pair.  Edu Alonso / Aimar Goñi  They currently complete the top 5.

Another pair to watch,  Íñigo Jofre / Jairo Bautista who have just had a great week at Madrid P1 with a semi-final.  Flavio Abbate / Alonso Rodriguez ,  Emilio Sánchez Chamero / Pablo García , or  Marc Quílez / Federico Mouriño  also appear on the list.

Fonteny / Moragues, first pairing with a Frenchman

French side,  Timéo Fonteny / Nacho Moragues  are currently the first French pair, in  11th position .

An association that has just won the  FIP Bronze Marnes  and who is competing this week in the Paris Major, where she managed to get through the first round with a great performance against Melendez / Gonzalez.

Behind them, several young French people have already registered:  Yoan Boronad / Jérémy Robert ,  Thomas Seux / Nathan Courrin ,  Nathan Perrot / Sacha Huard de La Marre , but also the  Clément Filho / Jules Marie  et  Pierre Vincent / Damien Bayard .

With two days left before the deadline, this list can obviously change.

Collombon/Sharifova and Godallier/Valenzuela well placed in the women's category

For women, the field is currently less crowded at the top of the world rankings, but this allows French women to occupy particularly interesting positions.

Alix Collombon / Ksenia Sharifova  are currently at the top of the list. Behind them are  Lara Arruabarrena / Giorgia Marchetti then  Léa Godallier / Daiara Valenzuela , provisionally third.

We also find  Claudia Escacena / Noemí Aguilar , as well as several other French pairs.

Lou Lambert Agosti / Kimy Barla  currently occupy eighth place, ahead  Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart .  Lucile Pothier / Fitia Robinson Andrianafetra  et  Lucie Vichier / Amanda Pestre Grange  are also registered.

A configuration which would currently offer French women several top seed statuses and real opportunities to go far.

Two more days to strengthen the plateau

However, we will have to wait before drawing any definitive conclusions.  Registration remains open until September 11th at 17pm and new top-tier pairs could still shake up the hierarchy.

In the men's draw, the level is already particularly high for a FIP Tour tournament, with several players ranked in the world's top 20. In the women's draw,  More major developments could occur in the last two days. .

One thing is already certain: with  Guerrero / Leal, Di Nenno / Tello, Momo / Campagnolo, Bergamini / Garrido  and several of the best French players, the  FIP Platinum Lyon  is starting to look good.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
