Le FIP Platinum Marseille 2026 will mark a new stage for French padel. Before the world stars settle in Marseille Sports Palace du 2 at 8 February, it's the CAP 7 Padel who will host the qualification phases.
CAP 7 Padelan ideal setting for qualifications
Managed in sporting terms by Stéphane Penso, the “Mr. Test” of French padel, the CAP 7 Padel offers perfect playing conditions with its seven latest generation indoor courts.
“Hosting the qualifications for a FIP Platinum is a real source of pride for our club and for the Marseille region. We want to offer players conditions worthy of the biggest international tournaments,” says Stéphane Penso.
Located in the heart of Marseille, the club will be the starting point for an exceptional week, marked by the presence of some of the best pairs in the world.
David Matéo comes full circle
The tournament will be managed by David Mateo, now a well-known figure on the international circuit. After having organized numerous FIP tournaments — of Canet-en-Roussillon à Lyon, Via Réunion et Perpignan —, he takes another step forward with his first FIP Platinum.
"This is a special moment for me," he explains. "I've been fortunate enough to be a director in almost every category of FIP Tour tournament. Platinum was the last tier I needed. Coming full circle here in Marseille is very symbolic."
Julien Nazarian and Pro Sports Events are at the helm.
The organization of FIP Platinum Marseille 2026 is entrusted to Pro Sports Events, a company founded by Julien Nazarian, Marseille entrepreneur with a passion for padel.
“Organizing a FIP Platinum in Marseille is a reality. The Palais des Sports is an iconic venue for French sport. With this tournament, we want to offer a unique experience and promote padel throughout the region,” explains Nazarian.
The Palais des Sports in Marseille is ready to buzz with excitement.
After the CAP 7 qualifications Padel
final stages will take place in the mythical Marseille Sports Palace, transformed for the occasion into a padel arena with more than 5,000 seats.
The tournament will host 36 pairs of men's and 36 pairs of women's, with a high endowment and a level comparable to that of the FIP Platinum Lyon.
On semi-finals will be played on Saturday 7 February, before the grand finals du Sunday 8 February.
Accessible in a few minutes from the Saint-Charles TGV station and about thirty minutes from Marseille-Provence airportThe site will offer exceptional visibility to the discipline.
