Le  FIP Platinum Paredes , in Portugal, will be the big event of the week on the FIP circuit. While the field will be slightly less competitive than that of the  FIP Platinum Tirana In Albania, it still promises a very beautiful spectacle.

In Albania, many pairs of  Top 8 worldwide , or even  Top 4 had made the trip, both men and women. This time, no duo from the men's Top 8 will be present. In the women's competition, only the world number 8 pair,  Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda will make the trip.

However, the level of competition is expected to be particularly high with several top players in the world.

Momo and Campagnolo are the favorites in the men's category.

The number 1 seed will consist of  Momo Gonzalez and Lucas Campagnolo Semi-finalists of the Italy Major and authors of very fine performances in recent weeks, the Spaniard and the Brazilian will arrive in Paredes with a clear objective: to win the title.

The number 2 seed will be the new association between  Aimar Goni and Edu Alonso An ambitious pair who will clearly be aiming for the title.

At the top of the number 3 seed, we will find  José Jiménez and Javier Garcia , a duo capable of competing with the best teams in the table and who are in the same part of the table as González and Campagnolo.

Finally, the number 4 seed will consist of  Juan Tello and Maxi Arce This new association is already generating a lot of anticipation and is among the credible contenders for the trophy.

Behind these top four seeds, several pairs will also have ambitions. We're thinking in particular of  Pol Hernandez and Guillermo Collado , always dangerous, or even at the number 8 seed, composed of  Alex Chozas and Tino Libaak which could create some surprises.

Guichard and Geens have a good card to play

French padel will be represented by  Dylan Guichard  and the Belgian  Clement Geens .

Having just been consecrated at  FIP Silver Palermo The two men will arrive in Portugal full of confidence. They have also been handed a rather favorable first-round draw against the Portuguese wild-card team.  Araujo / Graça .

If they win, they could face the number 5 seed in the round of 16.  Jofre / Bautista , for a first major test.

A very dense female portrait as well

In the women's draw, the number 1 seed will consist of  Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda , the only representatives of the world's Top 8 in Paredes.

Behind them, the competition will be fierce with  Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga  at the top of the number 2 seed,  Victoria Iglesias and Aranza Osoro  at the top of the number 3 seed, as well as  Jessica Castelló and Lorena Rufo  seeded number 4.

Collombon and Sharifova are aiming for the quarterfinals

The French number 1  Alix Collombon  will be there with his Russian partner  Ksenia Sharifova .

Both players were handed a relatively easy first-round draw against  Milinilla and Teresa , with the prospect of a very tough quarter-final against the favorites  Marina Guinart and Veronica Virseda .

In a tournament less prestigious than the Platinum in Tirana but particularly homogeneous, several players will therefore have a great opportunity to collect valuable FIP points… and perhaps a prestigious title in Portugal.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
