La  Spanish Padel Federation  unveiled its selection for the  FIP Senior World Cup 2026 , programmed from  September 14-19 in Buenos Aires . In total,  30 players, 15 men and 15 women will travel to Argentina with a clear objective: to play for the title.

This edition will mark a first since the  The Senior World Championship will be held in South America for the first time. , with an expanded format to  32 nations  and five age categories: +40, +45, +50, +55 and +60.

Lahoz, Santana, Losada… an experienced men's team

At men's,  Juanjo Gutiérrez  will be able to count on several well-known figures from Spanish padel.

The men's selection:  Willy Lahoz, Enric Sanmartí, Gerard Company, Pitu Losada, José Limones, Aday Santana, Sergio Beracierto, Juan González, Raúl Arias, Ángel Torres, Antonio Ochoa, Íñigo Unciti, Luis Menéndez, Pablo Semprún and Carlos Almazán. 

A particularly experienced team that will attempt to  reclaim the world title from Argentina During the last edition organized at  La Nucía in 2024 The Spanish had in fact been beaten by the Albiceleste in the final.

In Buenos Aires, the challenge looks even greater with the Argentine team playing on home soil.

Carolina Navarro takes charge of the Spanish team

In the women's competition, another major figure in padel will be present, but this time on the bench.  Carolina Navarro  will manage the Spanish senior national team for the first time.

She will be able to count on, in particular,  Lucia Sainz , but also several players who have made their mark on the history of Spanish padel such as  Icíar Montes, Eva Gayoso and Maria Silvela .

The women's selection is completed by  Lorena Alonso, Cristina Gago, Isabel Domínguez, Nuria Rivas, Nuria Montero, Paola Folatelli, Teresita Burastero, María Wakonigg, Belén Castrillo, María Cruz and Beatriz González .

The Spanish women are aiming for a fourth consecutive title

Unlike the men, the Spanish women will arrive in Argentina with their title to defend.  La Nucía in 2024 they had won their  third consecutive world title .

The objective will therefore be to add a fourth in Buenos Aires, while the men will try to take their revenge on Argentina.

With several former players who have competed at the highest level,  Spain will once again present itself as one of the nations to watch  during this FIP Senior World Cup 2026.
