Louise Bahurel  et  Lucile Pothier  will have left their mark on this  FIP Silver of Sandigliano . If the  final  proved too complicated, the  French  leave from Italie  with certainties and  valuable FIP points .

A high-level journey to the final

Everything had started perfectly for the French pair with a  victory  in two sets hanging facing  Vandaele / Chamli  ( 7 / 6 6 / 4 ), in a very blue-white-red duel. In  quarts ,  Bahurel and Pothier  struck a major blow by eliminating the  seeded 4 , the Spanish sisters  Canellas , on the convincing score of  6 / 2 7 / 6 .

But their best performance took place in  semi final , with a  authoritarian victory  against the  seeded 2 ,  Aida Martinez Sanjuan  et  Ana Dominguez Gracia  the  French  dominated the debates from start to finish ( 6 / 3 6 / 1 ).

A step too high in the final

En  final , in front of the  pair number 1  of the table,  Giulia Dal Pozzo  et  Camila Fassio Goyeneche , the march revealed itself  too high . Beaten hard  6 / 0 6 / 3 ,  Bahurel and Pothier  have never really found the solution to the intensity  and the  regularity  of the two players.

 A very promising dynamic

Despite this defeat, the  French  can be proud of their journey:  45 FIP points  pocketed, two  seeded players eliminated , And a  level of play  which continues to progress.  good omen  for the continuation of their  season on the international circuit .

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
