The quarter-finals of  FIP Silver Bandol  delivered their verdict this Saturday. While French hopes were dashed in the men's draw, the women's draw will still count.  Three French women in the semi-finals  thanks to the qualifications of  Louise Bahurel ,  Marie-Amelie Dardaine  et  Clara Mansart .

Fonteny and Boronad fall after a hard fight

It was one of the tournament's attractions. Gathered exceptionally in Bandol,  Timeo Fonteny  et  Yoan Boronad  hoped to continue their impressive run.

Facing the Spanish  Daniel Luna Peinado  et  Nacho Moragues Moltó  (TS3), the two young Frenchmen put up a high-level fight but ended up losing in three sets:  6/7 6/1 4/6 .

After losing an extremely tight first set in a tiebreak, Fonteny and Boronad responded perfectly by dominating the second set. But the Spaniards regained their composure in the deciding set to secure a place in the semifinals.

A frustrating but encouraging elimination for the two Frenchmen, who had ambitions to go far in this tournament.

Jover and Toppin stopped after their exploit

Having defeated the number 1 seed in the round of 16,  Alexander Toppin  et  Louis Jover  hoped to continue their incredible journey.

Unfortunately for the French, the task proved too great against the Italians.  Santino Giuliani Lombardo  et  Juan Manuel Lasgoity  (TS6), who prevailed  6 / 3 6 / 2 .

Joris and Robert fall to the 4th seed

Last French pair entered in the men's draw,  Maxime Joris  et  Jeremy Robert  failed to pull off a major upset against the Spanish.  Juan Zamora Perez  et  Alejandro Garcia Calahorro  (TS4).

The Spanish team won.  6 / 4 6 / 3  and continue their journey towards the semi-finals.

Result: no French representative will be present in the men's semi-finals.

Bahurel maintains his position

In the women's table,  Louise Bahurel  and the Spanish  Valeria Atencia Basilio  (TS4) perfectly controlled their quarter-final.

They imposed themselves  6 / 3 6 / 1  face  Kimy Barla  et  Marie maligo , thus securing their place in the semi-finals.

A major challenge now awaits them as they will face the number 1 seed.  Lorena Vano  et  Xenia Clasca Vidiella .

Dardaine and Mansart pull off the big coup

The best French performance of the day came from  Marie-Amelie Dardaine  et  Clara Mansart .

Facing the 5th seed, the British  Lisa Rachel Phillips  and of the Frenchwoman  Fiona Ligi They knew how to make the difference in the important moments to prevail.  7 / 5 7 / 6 .

A landmark victory that opens the doors to the semi-finals of the tournament.
