It was a complicated day for the French team on the  FIP Tour Between Bucharest, Lisbon, Utrecht, Casablanca and Phuket, the eliminations have come thick and fast, and now only...  three French chances  still in the running:  Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart in Utrecht ,  Nathan Courrin / Thomas Basso in Casablanca  et  Arthaud Dumoulin in Phuket .

End of the road for Bergeron / Seurin in Bucharest

Au  FIP Gold Bucharest ,  Johan Bergeron / Julien Seurin  were the last French players still in the running.

After a perfectly controlled opening against  Bohdan Levchuk / Michal Bartusek, 6/1 6/3 This time, the French stumbled against the 5th seed.  Manuel Aragon / Albert Roglan .

Bergeron / Seurin fought to the end but lost in three sets:  6/3 5/7 6/4 .

A frustrating defeat after managing to level the match, but the Spanish pair were able to make the difference in the third set.

Suzanna / Piombo stopped in Lisbon

Same fate to  FIP Silver Lisbon  to  Théo Suzanna / Tristan Piombo .

After having outclassed  Benjamin Dufour / Clément Pelt 6/2 6/0 The two French players faced a tough test against the third seed.  Jaume Romera Barceló / Pedro Perry .

The match was close, but the French failed to capitalize on crucial moments and ultimately lost.  6 / 4 6 / 4 .

Utrecht: Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart, the only survivors

In Utrecht, the day was also complicated.

Jules Marie / Romain Sichez  were stopped by the 8th seed  Sergio Icardo / Borja Trujillo , on the score of  6 / 4 7 / 6 .

In the ladies,  Steffi Merah / Tess De Vocht Despite being seeded 6th and favorites on paper, they were surprised by  Victoria Nicholas / Chloe De La Mare ,  7 / 6 6 / 3 .

However, there remains a real French chance with  Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart .

The French women, who had benefited from the withdrawal of the top seed to enter this part of the draw, left no chance for  Luciana Renic / Alissa Schmitz  :  6 / 0 6 / 1 .

They therefore qualify for the quarter-finals, where they will face...  Victoria Nicholas / Chloe De La Mare , tombstones of Merah / De Vocht.

A real opportunity to reach the final four.

Casablanca: Courrin/Basso the only survivors

The observation is even more brutal at  FIP Bronze Casablanca .

Twelve French players were present at the start of the main draw, but  Only one French pair managed to get past the first round: Nathan Courrin / Thomas Basso .

The French team handled their opening match against the 5th seed perfectly.  Larbi Lahlou / Fran Ramirez Navas with a very clear victory  6 / 2 6 / 1 .

All the other French players were eliminated.

Hugo Virag / Hamza Berrahou  fell to the favorites  Pablo Pastor Landaburu / Luis Oliver Artigas, 6/2 6/0 .  Lucas Potel / Natan Etienne  were beaten by the Portuguese  Tomas Dos Santos Nunes / Martim Nunes, 6/2 7/6 .  Rafael Marquet / Paul Lefèvre  bowed down against  Joel Olivera Palos / Mohamed Alami, 6/1 6/3 .

Same fate for  Victor Lethuillier / Zakaryae El Friyakh , beaten  6 / 2 6 / 0  by Mehdi Elloumi / Josep Freixas Palomino, as well as for  Pierre-Louis Jacquety / Juan José Dominguez , dominated  6 / 2 6 / 2  by the top seed 3  Miguel Morales / Alejandro Garcia Calahorro .

Pierre Perez Le Tiec / Guillaume Ledrap  They too stop after a defeat  6/3 3/6 6/3  facing Ali Dawani / Manuel Valcarcel Sanchez. Finally, the qualifiers  Sami Iznasni / Raphaël Rubio  put up a great fight against the 2nd seed  Pablo Reina / Marcel Font , but bow  5/7 6/2 6/3 .

Courrin/Basso will now face the wild card  Mohamed Ali Sakkat / Idriss Hicham , which unfolded  6 / 0 6 / 1  to reach the round of 16.

A great opportunity for the two Frenchmen to reach the quarter-finals.

Dumoulin takes advantage of an opening in Phuket

In Phuket,  Arthaud Dumoulin  He too continues his adventure.

Associated with Switzerland  Kilian Jordan The Frenchman prevailed  7 / 5 6 / 2  facing Justin Kuo / David Quiros Peiro.

In the round of 16, the Franco-Swiss pair will face  Fares Al Janahi / Abdullah Alabdulla .

A particularly interesting draw, as the number 1 seeds withdrew. Al Janahi and Alabdulla were thus given a second chance as lucky losers and regained their places in the draw.

For Dumoulin / Jordan, a real window of opportunity has opened towards the quarter-finals.

Only three French chances left

After this difficult day, the French contingent was considerably reduced.

Nothing remains but  three French chances  of these five tournaments:

Marie-Amélie Dardaine / Clara Mansart in Utrecht ,  Nathan Courrin / Thomas Basso in Casablanca  et  Arthaud Dumoulin / Kilian Jordan in Phuket .

After the carnage, now comes the last glimmer of hope.

Benjamin Dupouy

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
