Saturday's results reduced the French contingent on the FIP Tour, but Les Bleus will still have a representative in the semi-finals. Competing at the FIP Bronze in Frascati, Italy, Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris are continuing their impressive run and will play their semi-final this Sunday. However, in Jersey, Manuel Vives, Olivier Guy de Chamisso, and Camille Sireix saw their adventure end in the quarter-finals. 

Blanqué and Joris continue their journey in Italy

No. 5 seed of  FIP Bronze from Frascati ,  Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris  secured their qualification for the semi-finals thanks to a convincing victory against the Spanish.  Hugo Lorenzo Serrano and Martin Martinez Perez  ( 7/6(5) 6/3 ).

After a hard-fought first set, the French raised their game in the second to secure a place in the semi-finals. They will face the Spanish this Sunday.  Rodrigo Manrique ( 325th)  and Abraham Muñoz  (274th), with a final in sight.

Vives and Guy de Chamisso not far from a great performance

The side of  Jersey FIP Silver ,  Manuel Vives and Olivier Guy de Chamisso  had a tough task ahead of them against the number 1 seed,  Gonzalo Rubio and Andrés Fernández Lancha .

The French delivered a solid performance, particularly in an extremely close first set, which they ultimately lost in a tie-break. They were defeated.  7 / 6 6 / 4 , without ever being truly overtaken by the tournament favorites.

Camille Sireix's run ends in the quarterfinals

In the women's table,  Camille Sireix associated with the Dutch  Tess de Vocht failed to pull off an upset against the Spanish team.  Lucia Martinez and Marta Navarro , seeded No. 2.

Beaten  6 / 2 6 / 2 The Franco-Dutch team also exited the tournament in the quarter-finals.

French attention will now be turned towards  Bastien Blanqué and Maxime Joris who will try this Sunday in Italy to secure a place in the final of the  FIP Bronze from Frascati
