The French are in action this week in several stages of the  FIP Tour , especially at  FIP Silver Torino  in Italy and in  FIP Silver Kazakhstan Some good performances are already to be reported, and some French pairs could well play spoilsport with the tables opened by the withdrawals of certain seeded players.

FIP Silver Torino: Basso/Robert, a beautiful story?

Out of qualifying as  lucky losers ,  Jérémy Robert and Thomas Basso  seized their chance. The two young Frenchmen secured a convincing victory against the Italian-Spanish pair  Sousa/Bettineschi 6/1 7/5 A success that opens up a great opportunity for them, since their next opponent will be the Italian pair  Rosingana/Zecchinelli , ranked respectively  391th and 2461th . A quarter-final of  FIP Silver  would be a first in their career.

Still in Turin,  Yoan Boronad and Timéo Fonteny  also made a strong impression. The two French hopefuls won against the qualifiers  Lecchi/Rivellini 6/3 6/3 In the second round, they will challenge  Marc Lupon (283rd)  et  Giuseppe Fino (272nd) , a serious but affordable test.

In girls,  Camille Sireix and Melissa Martin  will enter the competition directly in the second round against the 15th seed,  Giaquinta/Casero .

FIP Silver Kazakhstan: Seurin already launched, Touly/Bahurel to follow

At the other end of Europe,  Julien Seurin and Pablo Pastor  showed their superiority. The Franco-Spanish pair defeated two Indonesians 6/0 6/1 in the first round. Next step:  Poliakov/Neykov , a match within their reach that could bring them closer to the last four. It should be noted that a real opportunity is available to  Julien and Pablo with the withdrawal of the seed 1,  indeed  Alex Ruiz and Victor Ruiz  were initially in the French table part.

In the women's table, a  new 100% French association  will begin:  Carla Touly and Louise Bahurel  will play their first match together against the Turkish pair  Sahin/Kutluca A first together on the international circuit that they will be keen to succeed in.
