The French were still in contention this Saturday in several tournaments of the  FIP Tour . If  Timeo Fonteny  continues its excellent run in Slovenia with another semi-final appearance.  Yoan Boronad  saw their adventure end in the semi-finals in Lanzarote. Meanwhile,  Johan Bergeron and Julien Seurin  failed to follow up their recent title in Dakar.

Bergeron and Seurin fall to the 4th seed

Freshly crowned at  FIP Bronze Dakar Johan Bergeron and Julien Seurin hoped to continue their excellent momentum at  FIP Bronze Ljubljana .

After a controlled first round (6/1 6/1), the French had to work hard in the round of 16 to overcome the Poles.  Filip Olech and Gabriel Bilinski  on the score of  6/7 6/4 6/2 .

In the quarter-finals, the challenge was greater against the  seeded 4 , Portuguese  Antonio Luque and Pedro Perry Despite a hard-fought match, Bergeron and Seurin were defeated.  7 / 5 7 / 5 A match where the two Frenchmen seemed to lack energy after the series of matches and their victorious week in Senegal.

 Another semi-final for Timéo Fonteny

Still in Ljubljana,  Timeo Fonteny  and the Swedish  Albin Olsson , seeded 3, continue their very good run.

After their victory in the round of 16 against the Italians  Alessandro Ciaccia and Edoardo Vittorio Galbusera  ( 6 / 3 6 / 1 ), they confirmed their form in the quarter-finals with a solid victory against the 7th seed,  Octavio Alvarez placeholder image  et  Vinny Nahuel Di Francesco  :  6 / 4 7 / 6 .

This performance allows Fonteny to secure another semi-final on the FIP circuit.

The Frenchman and his partner will even have a great opportunity to reach the final. They will face the  seeded 8 ,  Santino Giuliani Lombardo  et  Fabian Oviedo Berazategui , who defeated the third seed  Cremona / Richters  in the quarter-finals.

The match is scheduled  not before 11pm on court 3 .

A good week nonetheless for Boronad

Au  FIP Bronze Lanzarote ,  Yoan Boronad  and his Spanish partner  Jaume Romera Barcelo  have confirmed their rise to power.

After two convincing opening victories, they secured their qualification for the semi-finals by dominating the Spanish team.  Abraham Muñoz Zurita  et  Juan Carlos Gutierrez Guerrero  on the score of  7 / 6 7 / 5 .

In the final four, however, the challenge was greater against the 10th seed, composed of  Facundo Dehnike  et  Santino Contreras Despite legitimate hopes after their impressive run, Boronad and Romera were defeated.  7 / 5 6 / 1 .

A defeat that leaves some regrets, but which should not make us forget the essential point:  Yoan Boronad had a very good semi-final on the FIP circuit , an encouraging result before the next events of the season and in particular next week with the FIP Silver Narbonne alongside Timéo Fonteny.

I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
