The world's biggest padel event, the FIP World Cup Pairs 2025, will begin on November 1st with an exceptional level of competition. In the men's no French person appears directly in the main table. All will have to go through the qualifications, particularly high.
The French in the men's table
In the men's race, the French delegation will have to fight hard to hope to enter the main draw.
We will find Julien Seurin (172th in the world) associated with the Dutch Thijs Roper (143rd) : the Franco-Dutch pair will be the pair No. 17 in qualifications. Just behind, Dylan Guichard (135th) will team up with the Portuguese Antonio Luque (189th), classified n ° 19 of these same qualifications.
En waiting list, the pair Maxime Joris / Manuel Vives, respectively 178th and 246th in the world, occupies the second position and could still be included in the table if places become available.
Notable absences on the French side
Note several weight loss : Bastien Blanqué and Johan Bergeron, the French number 1s (both ranked 111th in the world), are not registered. A qualification in the main draw could have brought them valuable FIP points.
Other tricolors like Philemon Raichman, Yoan Boronad ou Timeo Fonteny will certainly concentrate on FIP tournaments of the week.
French women well represented
In the ladies' category, the France will be better represented, with two players directly integrated into the main draw.
We will find Alix Collombon (27th in the world), now associated with Jana Montes (59th). The Lyonnaise, new pair n ° 22, sees his ranking in pairs fall, a consequence of his partner's rank.
Another expected duo: Léa Godallier (61th) will be aligned with the Italian Giorgia Marchetti (54th)Together they form the pair n°30 of the whiteboard.
In qualifying, Carla Touly (74st) will try to join his compatriots alongside the Spanish Lucía Peralta Expósito (77th)They will be seeded 4 in these qualifications.
Assumed strategic choices
As with the men, several French players have chosen to skip the World Cup Pairs, preferring to play other tournaments where points are more accessible. A strategic approach, in a busy schedule where priorities vary according to the objectives.
I discovered padel directly during a tournament, and frankly, I didn't really like it at first. But the second time, it was love at first sight, and since then, I haven't missed a single match. I'm even ready to stay up until 3am to watch a final of Premier Padel !
