Le  official calendar  de Premier Padel for 2025 has been unveiled, and one detail is intriguing: if the  Paris Major  is presented as the  3rd Major of the season , the negotiations between  Premier Padel  and the  French Tennis Federation (FFT)  still appear to be in progress. By leaving a door open for a possible alternative, the circuit sends an implicit message to the FFT, perhaps acting on a pressure lever.

 A successful 2024 edition despite the challenges 

Despite difficult conditions in 2024 – a complex date, capricious weather, and a positioning just after the  Paralympic Games  –, the Paris Major recorded  record figures . The  final played on the Philippe Chatrier court  in front of a large audience is clear proof of this. The FFT has thus demonstrated its ability to make this event a success, fulfilling its mission despite the headwinds.

 The FFT's loyalty to Premier Padel 

La  FFT , requested by other circuits such as the  World Padel Tour  (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and the  APT Padel Tower (A1Padel) , remained loyal to the FIP and to Premier Padel. She gave the circuit its letters of nobility by welcoming the Paris Major in the legendary lair of  Roland Garros .  Madrid in ambush 

A possible Major in Madrid could calm tensions among players. What if it was a bet of Premier Padel ? The Spanish capital, one of the cradles of world padel, today only has one  P1 , which causes confusion among many Spanish-speaking players. They are wondering about the absence of a Major in  Spain  or  Argentina , two countries that have carried this sport for decades.

Note that, coincidence or not, the  P1 Madrid  directly precedes the Paris Major in the 2025 calendar, adding some tension behind the scenes.

 A calendar where some Majors remain untouchable 

  •  Acapulco , expected to be deleted, will finally be maintained in 2025.
  •  The Italy Major  is unwavering thanks to its success and the support of Luigi Carraro, FIP president and board member of Premier Padel.
  •  Qatar Major , despite a small audience, remains a model stage in terms of organization and very popular with players.

 The future of Paris Major 

La  FFT , the world's largest padel sports federation, wields considerable influence. Its strong ties with Qatar, particularly through tennis, make a break with it unlikely. Premier Padel. However, this pressure could be a strategy to raise the stakes.

With well-orchestrated communication, as in 2024, the FFT seems to have all the cards in hand to maintain the  Paris Major  as an unmissable event.

However, the negotiations should be successful and the competition will be made official after the end-of-year holidays. Let's hope that this fruitful relationship between the FFT and Premier Padel continues to write the history of this growing sport.
